If you find yourself in his level 4 geometry, study up and do your homework. The guy is tough but don't worry about it. Homework will save your grade on homework quizzes and also prepare you for exams. Seek help if you need it, but know that his assessments are incredibly difficult.
It was a struggle, especially at the start of the year, but if you put in the work you'll do good. By second semester I got my groove on and was rocking things by the end of the year. Go in and ask for help, he is great at explanations and will make sure you understand. He is a great teacher (makes it look easy) and a cool guy. The class was a challenge but it was fun and you'll enjoy it.
Tests super hard but he is willing to help. If you don't ask for it though he will not help you.
Meh, he was a pretty hard teacher.
Mr. Saszik was my least favorite math teacher of all time. He clearly picks favorites, and is rude to everyone else in the class. He makes you feel bad for having a question or misunderstanding a problem. During class he would always hover over kids' shoulders while they were working on a problem and lose his temper for no reason when someone took a little longer to think something through. He makes you feel like you're being rude when you go in for help. Be prepared to ignore his jerky comments
Pretty hard class, but Mr. Saszik is fun. He will joke around and not get too serious as long as the class stays on top of the material. Just do your homework and study and the class will be enjoyable!
4 Things you should know about Mr. Saszik.
1) Participate! Mr. Saszik will joke around with you if you get it wrong, but he will be a lot nicer on tests if he sees you try.
2) Keep up with Homework. Homework quizzes can happen any day, no matter when the last one was. Keep up with Homework, and check your answers. It is critical for your success.
3) Can't miss a class. If you do, meet with him.
4) STUDY! About 50% of problems will be from homework/class.
Mr. Saszik is a great math teacher, someone who I think might be my favorite ever.
Mr. Saszik is a fantastic math teacher. He explains concepts using both examples and words, catering to many different types of learners. His worksheets are really great to refer back to right before a test, and he provides a review each unit and is always available to help students who are struggling.
Solid teacher. New his material well. I was slightly worse at geometry compared to algebra I, so I found his exams a little more difficult. Getting an A in his class still wasn't too difficult. Offers help whenever his students seems confused. Great teacher. Gets off topic sometimes, but only for a bit. Clear teacher, will clarify if you ask a question. Not too strict.
Mr. Saszik is a really good teacher. He is super smart and he explains the topics clearly so his students understand. If anyone is confused, he is more than happy to go over it again until they understand. His tests and quizzes are fair, but you still have to work hard to do well. Overall, I really enjoyed being in his class.
He is an definitely my favorite teacher. He can be a tad difficult but is very helpful if you have any questions he is so helpful. and hes an amazing, amazing teacher
This is my second semester with Mr. Saszik and I have not experienced any onf the negatives that other posters have. This guy is a great teacher.
Saszic was my all time favorite teacher. By far. He has such a dry, salty sense of humor, like no other teacher. Very clear with the lessons, and is flexible to offer times to come see him if you are having troubles. I remember one day his 3 yr old son was in the school daycare and got sick so they brought him up to him, but instead of getting a sub and having the kids miss a lesson, he taught the entire period holding his crying son in one arm, writing on the board with the other. What a boss
He's an amazing teacher and gives you what you need to pass a test, but most of his kids in his class are LAZY to study and do homework so gets mad. That the only reason nobody likes him as a teacher
He's a good teacher and I don't think he really picks favorites. Sometimes I don't want to answer questions in case of my answer being wrong, and his tests and quizzes are pretty hard. But other than that he's a nice guy and you learn a lot.
Isn't available for help very much, tests and quizzes are hard, just likes the boys who are on sports he coaches.
Good teacher but his tests and quizzes were a lot harder then the other teachers
Very hard class, I went in to see him a lot and he was helpful but I still could not get above a B
He was an awesome teacher. I almost failed his class but he was really good about helping me and i got a B. He was awesome and really easy to understand.
hes ok. he had these intense lectures when we did badky on tests/quizzes and is not very friendly, but i feel like i learned a lot from him
nice, but goes to fast, exspects you to go in and see him if you are falling behind.
he is really nice, but i dont like his method of teaching. he just gives examples and doesnt really teach how to do things.
i love this teacher! he is the best math teacher if u pay attention and are willing to do the work.
i didn't love him. he's funny and an okay teacher, but in the end he didnt do much for me.
he's really nice, but the class is really confusing and he;s not that helpful
hes really really nice!! but sometimes he goes through problems REALLY fast and its impossible to write it all down and undrestand it at the same time
helpful and everything. he flipped out at times, esspecially at those girls who kept talking, ha. but was nice
Get on his good side and you will be ok! During class he will talk about one of his Texas stories, just go along with it and half the class period will be gone!
good guy, sometimes has a short temper but overall hes fun and respectful.
good guy, fun once you talk to him and get on his good side. always encouraging to come and see him for help
hes ok... but geometry is just a blow off class cause he doesnt really care...
