Mr. Zonyk is, by far, one of my most memorable high school teachers. The lessons I learned in his class served as an inspiration for further education and a successful career.
His lesson plans and personality were awesome. He was extremely helpful and by far the best teacher I've EVER had.
By far the teacher that has made the biggest impact on my success in my career. I get positive feedback in my job about my writing skills and reading comprehension. I owe it all to Mr. Z!
His courses are actually HARDER than the writing courses I've taken in college. I still remember the dreaded "read-arounds". He showed me that I had much more to say with my writing than I thought.
If I did not have Mr. Zonyk in high school, college writing would be extremely difficult. He was one of the greatest teachers I've ever had!
He knows his subject. He doesn't put up with idiots. He won't let you slide, and he tells you what you need to hear instead of what you want to hear. Pay attention and you may learn something.
Whoever wrote the comment about "Finding Forrester" has it right. What a class!
My parents nearly forced me to take his class. Now I'm glad they did. This guy is the real deal. If you're going to college, you'd be a fool not to spend some time with him. Pushes..hard. Thanks Z-man
He is the best teacher that I have ever had! I recommend taking his class! It will help you alot when you get to college!
Unbelievable class! Seems overwhelming and scary, not a bad guy, don't take him too seriously, he likes kids to be afraid of him (it's a measure of control) Take the class!
Anybody who plans on going to college should take this guy. My professors can't believe it when I tell them about my Adv. Comp. class at CHS. Zonyk is tough, but it's all good.
The things I learned in Mr. Z's class have made college so much easier for me. He has very high standards and expects a lot from his students.
He can be tough sometimes, but he's not the bear everyone makes him out to be.
His bark is worse than his bite. He'll make you work hard, and he doesn't put up with much nonsense - but you'll learn a lot from him.
He seems scary, but trust me, it's all an act. And NO, he does not have a tattoo. Take it from an alum.
