Mr. Guzman is a really, really smart guy. The problem is that he is completely unclear and his lectures are so boring that I have nearly fallen asleep in the class on multiple occasions. I tend to get pretty good grades and was usually able to teach myself the concepts, but many of the students around me would ask me to explain things. Also, every test this year has had at least one question where he had to give us the points either because of a typo or because the answer he had was wrong.
He can get irritated with questions, but he's a useful resource if your on his good side
Felix Guzman is not a teacher, only a tutor. In my time with him for AS and AP chemistry, self-teaching has been the norm of getting through the class. In AP chemistry, while he can be knowledgeable of the content, his ability to relay chemistry from his mind out of his mouth is hard to understand, both content-wise and accent-wise. He chooses favorites and is not afraid to voice that opinion in the middle of class in front of everyone.
Mr. Guzman does not make it easy to ask questions. He gets frustrated easily if you don't understand something. He has high expectations for us yet does not teach lessons very well. He is unorganized and skips material on rare occasions and will get distracted incredibly easily.
His teaching experience can be defined by the particular mood he is feeling today. Becomes annoyed very easily and is hesitant to help students. Uses a lot of useless analogies that just confuse the students.
Mr.Guzman is a very good teacher, at least from my experience with him in AS Chem. He is very good at explaining things, and is quite knowledgeable with the study of chemistry. He does have a few faults though, he can get very fustrated and sometimes angry with people, and his lectures can be very boring. This aside, he is a really good teacher.
One of the best teachers that I have ever had. I am currently a student at the University of California, Berkeley and Mr. Guzman has prepared me greatly for college. Although his class may be hard, the work, time, and effort that he makes you dedicate is almost identical to what a college course and work load is like. In the short term, it may seem painful, but in the long run, you'll realize how lucky you were in having a professor like Mr. Guzman.
Two lab reports during finals????WHY???WHY????WHY????
Anyway, tests are difficult and classroom instruction not very clear. Mr G knows a lot and is willing to give extra help to students, but still lacking in clarity.
he does get upset at times...and isnt very clear...but he does help you if u ask
He's the Guzdaddy. What more is there to say? He hated our class, he actually had a countdown of the days left in school before he didn't have to see us.His tests are impossible I guessed on every one
Used to be a cool guy. But he seems grumpier this year and seems angry all the time. Knows his stuff, but its difficult to understand all of it.
nice guy but he can't teach well. hard to understand at times. hard to stay awake in his class also, unless you are eating
I love this man, but his class was to difficult. And he's to shady. 8)
Such a cool guy... But the class is really hard if chem isn't your bag. He does his best to help...
Her has a great personality but he's a little hard to understand. My recommendation is to read each chapter in the text carefully.....its a good tool.
Goozie is awesome, v. funny man, v. hard to understand, but if you dont get something he will try to help you and stick with it...TESTS ARE TOO HARD!!!
He tells us what we need to know, but it dosent sink in because he dosent show us the theory behind it, just examples. if everyone gets an F, tests are too hard
mr guzman is so nice! a little hard to understand but he tries to help you in any way possible and he's funny!
guzman is the best! hez the coolest teacher all around! =)
