So, I was just thinking of people who had a positive impact. Mrs. Fike was one of those. Though I was never able/ willing to learn French in 4 years of class. Though France was a must!
Was one of the best teachers I ever had. She pushed and challenged me to be better and not be lazy like so many kids today. I am a better person because of Mrs. Fike.
Mrs. Fike is the best teacher in my life. She got me so interested in French, had 100's in it, and overall a great person. "Small dogs and ants can hear you". She even gave me $50 for my art career.
She humiliates students in class under the guise of it being a "joke". Calling people dumber than her dog is inappropriate in a classroom setting. She behaves more like the bully than the teacher.
Art teacher reads mags and does not teach. Fike is amazing s
one of my favorite teachers. She scared me at first, but she's a great teacher, her classroom atmosphere can get hostile sometimes but it adds to the whole experience, she has the gift of discernment.
Even though she told me my "attitude" needed adjustment and that I remind her of Hugo Selenski, she was a good teacher. I didn't agree with alot of her views, but she was an excellent teacher.
I disliked her tremendously while there, but now that I'm gone I look back fondly. We'd probably get along great now. She was an excellent teacher.
Fike plays favorites but she doesn't lie. You will always know where you stand with her and that's a rare quality with anyone, especially a teacher. Take her rhetoric class if she still does it.
I graduated from Dallas in 1996. Of all of the teachers that I had while in school, Mrs. Fike was my favorite, and I still look back on her class with fond memories. Au Revoir!
apparently i am in the minority, but i love mrs fike :) She really is a very good person and i will remember things from her class for the rest of my life
