Worst teacher ever. He doesn't explain anything. He expect with students to learn the material by themselves.
Fowler is the best...................................
(For REGULAR Physics)
Most of the time, it's 40 minutes of class then the rest of class is free He doesn't care whether you fail or not though. Just do homework and turn it in on time (it's only a completeness grade) so at least scribble something that seems half-right down. Tests are pretty much straight out of the textbook, and you can even find the questions/answers online (hint hint mobile devices). He's a nice guy if you don't piss him off.
Doesn't teach. To the one reviewer who said he doesn't waste time with coloring books, you are completely wrong. Our project was to make a children's book.
Doesn't teach and when he does it's very hard to follow. Uses a lot of terms students aren't familiar with in junior or senior year. Laughs when 75% of class fails tests.
I didn't have Mr. Fowler for physics, but he's my AP Physics teacher this year. A lot of people complain about his class/teaching, but the truth is physics is meant to be a class where you think outside of the box. The people who whine about the class being too difficult or Mr Fowler not teaching don't bother to apply themselves. Either that or they're too stupid for the class. He's funny and helpful, and doesn't waste time in class; he doesn't give us pointless projects or coloring books.
Physics Honors is a difficult class, and Mr. Fowler moves quickly through the material. It's really up to you to practice on your own time, but he is helpful if you ask. I managed a B most quarters.
He's basically blind and deaf, but he's reallllly nice and is really good at giving real world advice.
The material is really hard. He is really smart, but he doesn't teach real well. Get on his good side.
Ask Fowler for the Vander Graff and the Tesla Coil you noobs. He got new toys for honors, and AP.
he's so funny and, if you pay attention, physics makes sense and the tests are pretty easy. the problem is that most people don't pay attention and fail and then complain about their grade.
Great class...only about 5 of us knew what was really going on...and there was the certain unmentionable book that made the class easy towards the end...
Mr. Fowler is sique, if you understand physics at all beyond what he is telling you, it makes sense. His honors classes do require a little background knowledge but he's a good guy and will help you.
so yeahh. i like the guy. hes cool. i fail all his tests. but still end up with a B =] i just kind of wish i could understand it sometimes.
Mr Fowler is the worst teacher...he knows the material but he can't teach it what so ever. His class is impossible and only 2/30 people know wat is going on. He's a nice person overall, but with his knowledge he could've become an engineer making 100K or more but decided to be a teacher...wrong move
I like him, he likes to tell jokes, but all in all he's pretty good
ugh... even his regular physics classes can be quite challengingg. the tests aren't that bad... his lectures can be pretty tough to follow so you'll hafta do a bunch of studying on your own at times.
if you move fast enough, you can travel back in time...
