One of the best teachers of my life. Thank you, Fran. I'll never
Forget you!--m, class of 95
Wonderful woman and one of my favorite teachers from high school. Her curriculum left a bigger impression on me than most teachers at ACHS.
Had her for Eng2 and Eng4 She has an ego. She was Chair of the English department for a majority of her career. Whether she held authority or not, she wore that title proudly. She's very much like a professor. Though the material she teaches she treats professionally, she always stops to ask for a rebuttal from the class. Her personal standards are very precise, and her organization is sloppy, so her class can be hectic. BUT! She is a loving woman with a heart. It's easy to become her favorite.
i learned a lot in ms.Berman's class. I felt, however, she treated the course as a higher level class. This was good for learning material faster but it lowered grades and gave people no credit towards their higher learning. all in all she was a great mentor, nice person, and i hope she has a happy retirement.
Good thing she only has one more year left of teaching. I loved her my sophomore year; we did absolutely nothing. AP senior year was hell though. She's a good person, but don't expect any of your w
She was an okay teacher, but she was so disorganized, we didn't get to do half the stuff she wanted to, and we didn't read much. Shakespeare would have been a better class than her AP english.
The single greatest English teacher I have ever had. Educos - to draw out from within. Thank you Ms. Berman from Mr. Roche.
Fran Berman was one of my greatest teachers. I'm still trying to get through some of the books on her recommended reading list (currently Things Fall Apart).
My biggest regret of high school was taking Berman for English AP. Avoid at all costs.
Her class is insanely hard, but it's actually really helpful in preparing you for college. Her class goes much deeper than any college class I've taken so far, especially if you take honors or AP.
Oh please, obviously if you're taking her, you want to do well in english.. Why complain about it when you knew what to expect? She is known to be an excellent teacher who presents a challenge.
a lot of it is favoritism... if you talk to her... give her food... you're in. good luck and hope you like brown nosing
she is just too demanding of the young mind...STOP giving us work like were 20! were still in hight school!ugh worst teacher ever.
A Very Arrogant teacher who grades on favoritism. She does not grade or return many assignments. Ask to see a grade printout!
Ms. B is awesome!! She is tough, but i learned alot from her. I think she is one of the best teachers at Camarillo!!
She called my parent's house, and some of my friends' parents after an incident with a Ouija board in the '80s. Interesting books &art. You should be nice to her
Un-organized, grades on favoritism, becomes very moody and grouchy, expects students to completely devote themselves to English.
Boring and Arrogant. Most assignments are never graded or returned. Her grades are based on favoritism.
ms b is awesome! scared me to death at first but now she's my favorite teacher! tons of work, more than i expected for honors, but you'll get a lot out of it!
nice lady if you get to know her, but too tough. She expects English to run your life
Thinks: making people miserable = being a good teacher. Grades on favoritism, condemns those who think in a different creative way than she wants.
Guys, there is no Woman who helps you along so much... she helps you every step of the way... its a hard class if you don't try... just like any class...
Boring,Arrogant,Oppresive and grades on Favoritism. Many assignments are not graded or returned. She Does not prepare you for the AP exam.
She is a very nice lady. Her quizes are a little hard but read your books and study the vocab and the class is simple.
Don't you think it is time to grade and return all of our past assignment?
This teacher does not grade and return many assignments !!!
my inspiration.listen in class and u'll do well.she's funny and a good friend
She ironically stresses originality when she has none herself.
Great teacher, very funny. Vauge on assignment requierments, but still cool! =)
read your stuff, know what your talking about, and you'll enjoy her class
I had an 'epiphany' to leave her class. How's that for 'dramatic irony'?
Hard and picky, As a writer now; I still use her packets today. She's an Expert!
BEST teacher I've had in my whole life! In 20 yrs I've never found her match.
HAS HER FAVORITES/BIASED PICKY HARD TO GET ALONG WITH
As a college student reflecting on my years at ACHS, she would be one of a handf
The only thing FB loves more than herself is her cats & awards
A shining example - she expects students to do their best and makes us think.
English was an enjoyable subject of mine until I took this class
can't stand her since fight i got in on 1st day of school in her class
She thought I was "illustrious" in '86...however, her writing style or the road.
Excellent attitude, great to be around and awesome to be around.
She was hard, but good. After 17 years I still have my journal from her class.
She kept having to clear her throat-it was so annoying and disgusting
I found her quite friendly, but way to picky and difficult.
Makes favorites, can easily get on her good side by joking with her.
A rigorous, challenging class! Berman is the best--top notch in preparation!
if you're in, "you're in" if not you're out, but she is good prep for college
very much like a college professor! Great teacher for those with aspirations!
If you didn't write the exact style she wanted to hear, she'd hold it agaist you
