Physics isn't exactly impossible, but it's real hard and Barona manages to make it fun. He's a real sweetheart when you get to know him, just do the work he assigns and you're all good. Super nice, super funny, and really helpful.

Let's be clear: Physics is not the easiest subject to teach or learn. But Mr. Barona makes the class both enjoyable and informative. He is a pro at explaining concepts. A class that could seem to go on forever flies by. I cannot say enough good things about this guy. Sit at the front of the room. That's where the fun and learning takes place. Also, he comes up with the most innovative ways to teach that ultimately force you to learn physics.

He's a total bro, and I don't know if he's a better teacher than Matone, but our class is doing one grade higher on average...

One of my favorite teachers ever. He makes physics a joy, and it is by far my favorite class this year. He is always there to help after school, and becomes "one of the guys" everyday towards the end

Bewilders students in class; belittles them when they seek extra help. Tests are intentionally impossible. A churlish, petulant man whose constant bitterness is often mistaken for humor.

nice and funny guy, but doesn't manage time well.... 20 minutes of class dedicated to physics, 40 minutes to random topics (e.g. nascar, new jersey, or tom cruise)

kind of an acquired taste. i never fully acquired it. he's a competent instructor, but a little unimaginative when it comes to re-explaining things. sometimes when a student doesn't get something, the instructor has to think of new ways to explain it. i felt that he let up when we didn't get things on the first try... got too easily frustrated. nice guy, though. definitely remember a lot of the chemistry and physics i took with him (back in the mid 90s).

Funny guy for tough subjects. Needs some new material, a little fake. Honorable man. Gives a GREAT deal of credit for effort - just make it consistent and not day before tests.

He'll use the class as a forum for his comedy, but hey, that makes it entertaining. Quite knowledgeable, and his carefree attitude creates a nice environment.
