Super easy teacher for Spanish. The thing I don't like is participation becuase she gives a lot of 80s. You have to participate twice a day everyday and write stuff on the board occasionally to get a 100. Her class is easy but boring at times. I like the group work but when we have to watch videos, I fall asleep. If you fall asleep in her class, she will give you a 60 for participation. Her tests are super light becuase it's what you learn in class. Just study her worksheets and you'll be finee.
I graduated in 1997 and had Ms. Thanasoulis for Spanish in my senior year. She is brilliant and really knows her stuff (not the same thing). We read some pretty difficult Spanish literature in class and she explained it very well. We studied the mystic poets, Don Quijote, and El Cid. Now, looking back, I wonder how she squeezed it all in. It was college-level Spanish for free!
She is such an annoying teacher. She always gives an 80 for participation no matter what you do... unless you are her favorite. Her tests are super easy, though. However, do not come in late. Every time someone comes in late she would give the same long annoying speech about how bad being late is
Personally I do not like her. She penalizes and targets certain students because of very small things. She makes a big scene if you are late or miss a homework. She is rude and if you get an answer wrong she penalizes you again. She is also strict and only likes her favorites. If you aren't her favorite well then good luck to you. Her tests are really easy though, I didn't even have to study for them and i got good grades. She also penalizes you if you do not understand something.
She is a great teacher. She is really nice and sweet and really helped prepare me for a regents that I was stressing out for. She is the best languages teacher. Be absolutely blessed if you get her as a teacher.
Participate. PARTICIPATE. Participation actually dropped my grade. Her tests are fair, and pretty easy if you study form the handouts she gives you (which is a lot!). She's really nice and helpful! Really prepares you for Regents! Do your hw!
very organized, prepares students well for tests, gives easy homework, however her SGI is only 9th period and most students have class then so its not very helpful. shes very strict about participation but if you just raise your hand consistently u will get an A for it
she is definitely the nicest teacher i've ever had. i dont think she ever yelled/got frustrated at us except for once or twice but to a very low extent. he tests reflect her teaching. the only problem
the regents is really easy, but she bases some of the grade on participation and hw so make sure to do both. shes nice and her tests are not hard at all if you review a little bit. boring class though
from my experience, she was only nice and gave fair, easy tests last year. i got a 100 on the regents with her, and she was a great teacher.
she's 1 of the worst teachers I've had at bronx science. why? because she's bias and unfair towards certain students. she targets certain students
i love her best teacher ver great test adn regents prep
She's a great teacher and has a very easy class, that all the Greeks love!
A wonderful person and teacher. She is very knowledgeable, creative, and dedicated. I had her for Spanish and for beginning Modern Greek, and I enjoyed her classes very much!
hi from 1980 grad. ms thanasoulis pic is just above mine in 1980 yearbook. she quoted elton john "i know it's not much/but it's the best i can do/my gift is my song/and this one's for you." she's cool
She's super easy if you're in the honors class, but if not, she's very moody and makes weird faces. Do your homework and you'll get 95+ on every test and on yr report card. She tells corny jokes.
She gives off mixed vibes. Generally seems like a nice teacher and gives easy tests. But she loathes people who don't do hw, cut her class, and eat. Overall ++
boring, not helpful and a horrible spanish teacher. gets annoyed when you dont understand something and has a attitude problem
Great teacher! Conscientious, creative and super dedicated!
I graduated last year-class of 2003 and I had her for two years straight for Modern Greek. She's an awesome teacher, just study hard and do the homework!
She's overall a good teacher and I'm really happy in how she got the program still going. Otherwise ppl, there would be no Greek! She's good at explaining things
she's really nice, but so far she isnt very challenging
she speaks softly & gives easy tests. i almost feel guilty about not taking greek next year
cool but mad boring.....i'll see next year how fun she teaches greek.....
she can even teach lots of stuff to a native speaker
Nice, but needs to explain more, not just tell us stuff.
Ms.Thanasoulis is very clear, efficient and helpful.
She is a good teacher. I like it when she shows us videos. Her tests are not too hard and she does not give too much HW.
she is the best language teacher ever, She's very nice and sweet and tries to make class interesting.
nice woman, seems really stressed out...tries her best to make lesson fun and interesting.
she is the best language teacher! i had for two years great time. corny funny, fun class very helpful just pay attention and do the HW and you will do very well in the class, if you get like a 95 its like failing compared to all the 98 and 100s
