Ginny can be intimidating, but only if you don't do your work. Memories your music, take notes, and don't write in solfege. She is there to help in A day lunches, so you can't say she never gave you any help if you don't go in to work with her. The blue binder would be the only textbook I guess. She definitely knows her stuff, and although she doesn't know me well, Ive come to love her in my first few months as a freshman. Respect her and you will be respected as well.
Hey if you complain that you're talented but don't do choir or theatre because of Ginny, that's your own fault. If you work hard and stand your ground instead of allowing her to completely berate you, you will be fine. If you actually apply yourself and listen to what she says she won't have any reason to disrespect you. Oh btw her schedules are sometimes crazy, if you have a lot of conflicts out of the blue you probably shouldn't take her class or do her shows.
People are always leaving negative reviews on Ginny's page but some of them are so unwarranted. I've had Ginny for all 4 years of my high school career so far and not once has she ever been unfair. She yells, but when you deserve it (if you don't know what a key signature is in March then you deserve to be yelled at). She consistently offers help to those who need it and it's on you if you don't take her up on her offer and then end up struggling. She'll teach you many life lessons. Worth it.
I have no words to describe her. Some days she is the best but other days she is the meanest person. So good luck, and make sure to get on her good side as a freshmen, and then ur set for concert choir
Strict but fair.
Easy - She was difficult only because I didn't review my music.
Exam difficulty - The written exams are pretty straight forward; however, do fear the singing quizzes that assess your progress.
Textbook -You can consider the 'blue book' a textbook, as it goes through sight-reading. We occasionally use this to enhance our sight-reading skills.
Helpful - Very, offers lunch help (A days?)
Clarity - Clear on expectations
Knowledgeable - Of course.
She obviously shows favoritism...You just have to her favs i guess. If you're one of her favorite then she would be really nice to you
She's a wonderful teacher and honestly if she doesn't like you it's probably your own fault
She may be scary but she knows what she is doing and wants to be the best. If you are not going to do the hard work that is required from she is going to know and yes she most probably not like you very much, but if you do what you have to properly and work hard she will not be harsh on you. Honestly she scares me a lot ad I don't think she likes me very much but she is one of the best teachers you will ever have if you get the chance.
Amazing Marching Band instructor! I had the best marching band season this year and I am sad that it's my last.
what a bo$$$$$$$$
She yells alot and she is very scary. i don't like it when she yells, it gives me anxiety. pce out
First of all- its Ginny, not Mrs.Kraft Second- just do what she says Third-she knows she is doing, so trust her Fourth- the only reason she is mean is because we either don't get work done or you aren't simply trying Fifth- if you try in her class, then it is fun Sixth- i suggest taking your music home and look over them, even if it is a few times throughout the year it will help Overall, Ginny is an amazing teacher. I cant believe im saying this but i think im gonna miss Ginny :(
If you cannot sing, play a musical instrument or perform you are worthless in her eyes.
i have a lot of respect for her. shes not like obsessively mean just stay on her good side and do what she says like, right away. she also doesnt give many compliments so dont fret and rele treasure it if u get one=]
Through her dedicated teachings of choir, drama, band & guard she instills higher standards as well as teaching some life lessons along the way. It is an honor to call her my mentor.
she can be very tough and strict but thats what a choir needs sometimes.. slightly scares me..but stll she is a nice lady :)
i think ginny definitely knows her stuff...she can be harsh at times but thats what a group so large needs.
I learned a lot of valuable lessons from her. I learned that "insiders" get to live by different rules than "outsiders", sometimes talent is more important than hard work, and that it is not always smart to be honest.
ginny kraft is the most talented and inspiring person i know. she has taught me many things in life that i would have never see or learn myself. to me she is like my second mom. ginny kraft is amazing
I actually find her sarcasm/negativity funny. She is an excellent choir director and marching instructor. She knows how to motivate us before a competition and she's a great person!
a love hate relationship. definitely makes us a good band, but needs to realize that her negativity, sarcasm, out-of-proportion-blowing is NOT good for the band or, most importantly, the students
She is a very good teacher. She actually knows what she is talking about and very glad that she made us learn about music theory! Thank you!
without her the band will be nowhere. We would be getting 70-80's everyweek for scores. Our last comp. e got a 96. this would not be happening if it weren't for her. Just look were one of the tops bands. Other bands are all getting 90's when were getting 95-96's. Ginny is the best teacher i everyhad and even though she yells at me all the time for not marching correctly shes atill one of my favorties.
marchingband wouldn't be the same without her strictness. mr kraft couldn't do it by himself. nicest teacher i have. GO 2B CHORUS!!
Empowers herself by publicly demeaning and berating her students in marching band.
i thought she was okay.she's strict, but we all love her. marching band and everything else wouldn't be the same without her.
She's cool .. if your on her good side most people can i did it for 4 years!
Ginny Kraft is awesome. though she's really strict about marching band and colorguard, she helped us.and i mean helped us a lot. we're the top marching band in the east coast! at first i thought she was mean, but she's really nice.
Ginny is awesome. although she's is very strict about marching band and guard, and seems mean and icky, she is actually really really nice. just dont get on her bad side... without her, SBHS's winderguard, colorguard, and marching band wouldn't be as good as we are now.
Ginny & Mark took SBHS from the worst band to the #1 Marching Band on the East Coast when I was involved in the early '80's. She is tough & demanding but produces great results. Yes, she yells- but you listen, don't you!
she is so disorganized...she makes us audition for the special choirs without notice and then takes her sweet time to post the results
ok..Ginny is one of the most sensible and reasonable teachers i have ever met. she yells when necissary.. sure she could be domineering but we wouldnt get anything done if she wasnt :)
o man i love ginny shes tough cause she has to be. she basicly runs our school and shes the reason our marching band is considered one of the best in the country
she is really awesume i used to really not like her but hen i got to no her better great teacher..shes strict for a reason to make us better
I love ginny she can be harsh but it really helps a lot. We would never win if we didnt have ginny
definately need to calm down ur attitude bcuz it is not neccesary to embarass ur students wen they make simple mistakes
How could anyone give her anything but a 5 on clarity? Extremely clear. Really scary in my freshman year but I stuck with her and now it's great.
Ginny is a great person and she works so hard to get success for all hter students in choir, band and guard...i love her!
Ginny Kraft is probably the nicest and most motherly figure in SBHS. I love her to death and as long as you show her respect, she is incredibley nice to you. And She's a YANKEE FAN!!!!
Ginny doesn't try to play nice, and she's not. She does however get the job done.
Just the fact that you helped us beat North Penn for the first time makes you one of the best teachers in the school.
very strict when it comes to band but without her we wouldnt be the best marching band in NJ
Marching Band rules all bands!!! Just don't yell so much. we fix it on our own....eventually. u r the awesomest teacher I have.
Amazingly calm this year... thank you for not yelling at people who have been trying so hard these past years
Loves most of her students... but if she hates you...
yells a lot during marching band n can b mean to freshmen
cares soooo much about her students...always puts them first
great at teaching agile fingers and good support, one of best teacher ever
Shes ok she just has to like you for her to be nice to you
ginny is so cool. she is a teach-with-your-heart teacher...she rocks!
Ginny cares and puts in more effort than any other teacher I know off!
Ginny's an amazing, tallented, and caring person. LOVE YOU GINNY!!
great teach, but has favorites, awsome, and shes not a push over!
Ginny is amazing. motherly, awesome, and a fabulous teacher
she yells a lot but only because she wants ur best, great teacher
WE LOVE U GINNY! dont make judgements until u really kno her. She cares
When she decides she doesn't like you, no matter how hard you try, you're dirt!!
she needs to realize that performing arts section of SBHS belongs to EVERYONE
Some people don't like her because she's not a push-over...but that's why I do!
Do what she says on and off the field and you'll be on her good side
If you show her respect and work hard, she can be a very nice person
Nicest lady. She's a Motherly figure. She loves what she does. Simply the best.
picks favorites, extremely biased, discouraging, acts like she's superior
She's cool if she knows you, if you don't know her you have to work a little.
