Harrington is so cool. . You can tell he loves and cares about his job because he is genuinely happy when teaching. Even when he gets frustrated and mad he never takes out his anger on the class by punishing them with homework or new seats, in fact when he changed our seats to "increase productivity he put us by the people that he knew we liked. He builds relationships and talks to everyone in the class, he feels more like a friend than a teacher tbh.

Dude Harrington is a baller. When your using your phone he is always like "Please stop with the phones" and laughs at you. I like his mindset of not having to memorize history but rather just analyze it. In his free time he likes to read textbooks haha. Also he gives like 2 tests per month which is pretty fun. He also gives us notes to take though that are the same as the ones we take in class which is kinda annoying. Otherwise he teaches the content really well.

I understand that he has most recently taught IB or AP seniors, but he is hard on the class, expects a lot from us, and gives us assignments to teach ourselves and/or the class. However, Mr. Harrington is nice, laid back, and can clarify something if you don't understand. If you are taking honors or AP, he is the right teacher for you, but if not, don't expect this class to be easy. He challenges students to think for themselves.

Sometimes he overestimates the maturity of the people in his class, but despite this he is a great teacher. He really helped me to be prepared for the History IA. I also felt super prepared for the IB test for the 12th grade material.

Does he wear blue too much? Perhaps. Does he laugh at his own jokes? Yes. Did he make MRHS bearable for me? Absolutely. This guy made high school so much better for me when I had a tough time, and I learned a lot too. Keep up the good work Mr. H!

No teacher can please everyone, and even if they did that means they are not doing a very good job. So if you are someone who thinks shopping, not doing the reading, texting and doing gymnastics is more important than school, its unreasonable to expect an A. Just maybe being an adult means taking responsibility for your actions rather than lashing out from behind a keyboard.

Harrington is really academic, but his frequent use of humor helps to make learning enjoyable. He is one of the first history teachers that I actually learned something about history from. There was a fair bit of reading and writing, but when you take challenging classes like IB that is to be expected. Any time I needed additional help he was there for me which helped a lot with the semester papers.

I never really liked history all that much, but now it is one of my favorite subjects. I really enjoyed the conversations and ideas that he focused on in class. The readings were a little boring, but he helped me to understand the important parts any time I had questions. The papers he had us write also were helpful and I liked that there was choice in terms of topics. It allowed me to pick something I found interesting.

I really learned lots in his class. Most of the work was interesting, at times challenging, but he was always helpful when I ran into trouble. I hope I get to have him again for senior year.

If you like texting, copying all your assignments, making excuses, having a bad attitude, procrastinating, or an A for no effort you are probably in the wrong class.
