Sometimes Feasts and Fools is boring, but that's because the kids are COMPLETE IDIOTS. These brutes have no clue what's going on and are always saying they think something is party b/c the characters are having fun. Like can you get any more stupid?! We were supposed to present during the term, and many chose to show beer commercials w/no analysis at all--stuff like that. Wilkin is a wonderful teacher whose easy grading attracts absolute knuckleheads. If you try, you can learn so much from him.

For English 300, we had weekly essays that were assigned in class on Friday and due the very next day (Saturday) at 9:00pm online. Also ridiculously picky about grammar. Very vague with what he wants from the students in the essays, yet hard to please. Unwilling to help you improve as a writer and doesn't accept rewrites. Simply a bad teacher who enjoys hearing himself talk. Super boring class, I would switch out.

Classes will sometimes be boring but with interesting texts. Dr. Wilkin chooses classics and abstract, quirky texts. He is flexible with students about homework and assignments, but will sometimes have very difficult pop quizes. You must read every assignment thoroughly. Reading ahead does not help either. But he is a gregarious and knowledgeable guy who speaks several languages.

Bizarre and boring man. In his senior elective, each kid gives a presentation in class - as a result we didn't talk about the reading for a month. Pretty easy 5, hard to get a 6.

Wow, can you say boring? Oh my God, that class is like a tomb. There is NO discussion whatsoever, because basically the whole class is him talking. Also, not helpful on papers.

While Doc is fun, I got the feeling that he didn't really care that much. The man knows his Chaucer, but I came in for a meeting and he hadn't yet read my pape

definitely one of the most boring classes i have ever taken in PA. the only person who ever talks is himself, he never comes in prepared, and no matter how many caffeine pills you took right before class, you'll still sleep through it.

Had him for 578. VERY easy 5 or 6, but the catch is that it's incredibly boring. That was pretty much the concensus of my entire class. The highlights of class were his accents.

300 is a lot of fun, it's definently not boring. I don't know how much Dr. Wilkin has to do with it, but my class has great discussions. I've felt that I've improved in his class, but I am having trouble on how to continue improving.

He is a nice guy and seems to love what he does but classes are always he same and make me fall asleep. I think that he takes a metaphor and jumps out the window with it and dosen't cover the basis material well. Quiz material is out of nowhere!

You need to be motivated in this class; if you want to just sleep through it, you will be bored, but you'll get away with it. If you take the time to put the effort into his class, you will be rewarded.

Dr. Wilkin knows his stuff, but when it comes to teaching that stuff, he doesn't know what's going on. He loves to talk about how wonderful he is, and in this way, he doesn't have the time or energy to help you improve your English skills.
