If you're the type of person who needs to ask a lot of questions you will have a terrible time. He won't always give an explanation for things i you ask, and if he does it's not much different than what he said in the lecture. AP Physics is always going to be challenging no matter what teacher you get though. Also, if you were wondering, the stretches aren't mandatory, and he'll give a stretch break on request. He doesn't let you use the bathroom during class so empty your bowels beforehand.
When I had trouble understanding something, I asked him after class. He told me that, as a teenager, my brain wasn't fully developed yet and so I probably just didn't have the capacity to understand. He wouldn't even try to explain it to me. My parents hired a tutor. Then he marked my correct answer down on the test because I did it the way my tutor & the book showed me and not the way he had shown in class (that I hadn't understood, thus asking him/the tutor). Very unhelpful, very unclear.
Oh god...I learn more from YouTube videos than I do PIfrom heaton
there is no way that this guy is a good teacher.. he can't even express what he is trying to say wihtout the help of the class
He is bad at teaching because he does not know how to teach. If you get this teacher you are screwed.
He played his guitar and sang Baby Beluga during finals. The physics department is known for eccentric teachers who aren't very good at their job, but seriously? This guy... I don't even know.
This man is incredibly nice, but he can't teach worth anything. He has random bursts of enthusiasm that are either funny or weird. He may not be able to teach, but he is incredibly nice and he knows what he's talking about.
Never actually taught. Never returned papers and grades were rarely posted. However, he is an extremeley nice man. He knows his stuff, but expects us to know it too..before he teaches. Not fair.
He really doesn't know what he's teaching, but he's such a sweet guy and his tests have huge curves, so its all balenced out
Heaton knows his stuff. Though, sometimes I think he never left the 60's.
One of the weirdest teachers I've ever had. I never knew what I was doing in that class and to be honest, I don't think he did either. He likes enthusiasm!
ya heaton man dude can't even say anything about him and HE CAN"T TEACH loves his fish
DRAW!! thats what he does with significant figures. and he likes to make the overhead projector "laugh." wow...
he's nice but.. honestly he can't teach. I basically have to teach myself. but he is just generally amusing. yea SSR is fun. but im pretty much lost in his class. with his weird labs
He is... interesting. His class is the most fun because of science SSR, it's like walking through fog that makes you laugh
Surf Panthalassa!!! He's funny... but has no idea what's going on- it's better that way
He doesn't explain alot. Most of the time you have to guess what he's talking about to understand
What is this guy doing? He cant teach anything. In an extreme point of view, he is the atwood of science.
PLease please please explain more! He's a nice guy but needs to explain curriculm...
He never fully explains stuff and what not...etc. until the day before the test.
VERY different personality. not a bad guy. Not the funnest class or greatest teacher, but a nice guy when u get to know him a bit.
If he were a superhero, he would be called TANGENT MAN, master of the completely irrevlevant !!!
well I was always sleeping in that class so I don't remember anything!!!!! j/k he's ok
The best times spent in his class where when my eyes were closed!
My hour with him would have been better spent picking lint off my shirt!
interesting class...... umm... yes. great dancing to the music on the movie....
