One of the best teachers at CHS! I learned to love physics because of her. The class can be hard, but if you do your homework, show you care, and ask for help when you need it, you'll do great. She's so kind, and willing to help you in any way to make sure you know the material! An amazing teacher all-around, one I'll never forget. You can tell she's truly passionate about what she does, and she's always there to talk — about anything, and even when you don't have her as a teacher anymore!
I wouldn't have been able to get through physics without her as a teacher
Mrs. Barrow had a rabbit in her classroom. She took it home. Then she decided it smelled. So she decided to leave it in the woods where a domesticated rabbit wouldn't survive for more than 2-3 days, tops. She actually put it out in the woods by itself! We got into a big argument about it and she finally relented and brought the rabbit back home. This has zero to do with her teaching skills which I'll leave for the students to decide. Just don't bring pets to class!
Mrs. Barrow is awesome! She is my favorite teacher! She is so nice and helpful and she is a great teacher and she makes everything fun
Good teacher, but it kind of gets old doing the same types of worksheets 3 times in a week. You also repeat taking notes on the same stuff nearly every day. She grades extremely hard, don't forget to add a period to the end of your sentence or it's -1. Is this Biology or English?
Great teacher. Though others may say she's hard, they obviously did not put in enough effort. If you respect her and what she's teaching, then you'll do great in the class and enjoy it as well.
My least favorite teacher of the year. It was always her way or the highway. The workload is unfathomable and the tests are extremely hard. Stay in her class if you love to spend your time studying!
Mrs. Barrow's class was my hardest class all year. She picks favorites - FAST. If you're a teachers pet or a science wiz, she'll love you. She will help you if you're falling behind in her class, but she is NOT that approachable. You have to work extremely hard to ace her class. I'm not a "slacker" student, but I'll be the first to say she expects too much from students. With all that said, you do learn a lot about biology and you do retain the information for the final. She's an OK teacher.. i guess.
To Everyone that says that Mrs. Barrow isn't a good teacher and you hated her sooo much, you were PROBABLY a slacker, I've been on both sides of this, when i first started her class I was a terrible student, and honestly pretty nuch single handedly, she helped me turn my grades from straight E's, to straight A's. The way that she teaches is great and its what has helped me in my later, harder classes. I'm on of those "science freaks" and I love it! Mrs. Barrows the best.
Mrs. Barrow is so awesome!!! even though we take notes almost every day...i still love that class... and she is so full of energy and she uses really good examples and i understand things really good
I wish she wouldn't shriek and jump up and down so much, but it sure pounded bio facts into my head. she's pretty cool, when it comes down to it.
She seems crazy, and her interest in the subject matter seems to border on obsessive. She will ride you the whole way, and it doesn't tend to let up. Her study guides at the end of each chapter are absolutely brutal. However, her (sometimes hilarious) tendency to lecture very, very loudly, and a very genuine appreciation for her students, makes her teaching style a very unique and effective one (not to mention a unusually cheery disposition.)
sooo excited about everything, like mickeymouse (if you had her you will know what im talking about)
Good teacher. Make sure you pay attention in her class (unlike my lab partner).
All you gotta do is take notes and pay attention and do your work and you're set. She is very nice to you as long as you don't disrespect her. I think she's very cool.
She is a great teache, but you HAVE to pay attention, if you dont your going to fail.
