He is a great teacher and he is probably the best language teacher in all of Staples. Many of the other language teachers are either decent or terrible. He also looks just like Walter White from the very end of the show.
Señor is the sweetest old man ever, but he's a bit confused about most everything, but he is very nice if you're not on your phone and you complete the (easy + quick) homework. Everything we do is from the textbook, but I don't particularly mind. He is very into the Key Club, and tells my class about it all the time. The girls who do it say it's fun and that he's even nicer during the meetings, but he was one of the only teachers who actually explained everything about Staples to the freshman.
The worst and best characteristic about him is his naivety about what students do. His class is the chillest you can hope for, and he's a cool guy. As a native Spanish speaker, it already puts him at an extreme advantage. Need help? He has you covered, though he won't be as helpful if you don't ask. Be prepared though, studying is a requirement. We don't go over most of the source material enough to allow for little studying, yet each quiz is really easy. Also a + that he recommends for college.
I LOVE SENOR BALLESTEROS!!! HE IS THE BEST TEACHER IN THE ENTIRE WORLD!!! HE IS KIND, SMART, HILARIOUS, AND A WONDERFUL TEACHER. Every class you ever take with him will be the best one of your life. Someone below said he confused Netflix with Shake Shack but THEY WERE WRONG!! I mean who peed in your cheerios dude??? If you have Horacio, you are one lucky chupacabra. Ballesteros is love. Ballesteros is life. I'm out.
THIS IS MY FAVORITE TEACHER! HE GETS A LOT OF S**T FROM MY CLASSMATES BUT I GOT ON HIS GOOD SIDE AND NOW WE ARE PALS. HE IS SUCH A KIND SOUL WHO MAKES THE ENTIRE CLASS PARTICIPATE WHICH HAS HELPED MY LEARNING A LOT! Whenever we learn vocab, we all get to discuss and learn the words super easily, and by not being allowed on our phones has made us pay attention although we use iMessage on our laptops. (sorry for screaming at the beginning of this review)
My class called Sp 3H life and chill. It was a very random class. We'd read some literature, not get quizzed on it and have the occasional presentation. If you do the homework and are friendly to him, he's gonna like you. Don't be on your phone. Overall, we just read a whole lot, did a few relaxed presentations and were confused a lot of the time. He's a nice guy that loves the textbook. Quizzes ain't too hard, homework is quick, but given every night, and overall a good class.
horacio is a very confused man in the best possible way. once, he thought that shake shack and netflix were the same thing. he is so kind and caring, even if he is a confused dude. he is great at spanish, even though he doesn't teach much. i liked his class though and it was definitely an easy A. and i really appreciated how much he cared for his students
Mr. Ballesteros is one of the sweetest guys you'll ever meet. hes nice and helpful if u go and talk to him. dont talk during his class though, or else he wont like u. he has an easy class but hes one of the nicest teachers ever. get to know him!!!!!
he is very strict with talking while he's talking but honestly he is one of the easiest laid back teachers, he doesn't care about your homework its so easy to get around it and scribble random words and he lets you watch a lot of videos. he gives u such easy grades even if you do bad
Mr. ballesteros is a decent teacher, he can be funny, but he does not put up with talkative kids. You will become his favorite very quickly if you don't talk a lot and do your homework. Some of his tests/quizzes are difficult but his midterm and final were both so easy.
His lessons are clear, but when ever he is giving an assignment his directions are very unclear and confusing. Also as long as you do the homework and don't constantly talk or make annoying noises you will be fine.
MR. Ballesteros is a very nice spanish teacher, he sometimes rambles about things. If you do his classwork he will like you :)
One of the most genuinely nice guys out there and a lot of fun if you just take the time to talk to him. There's lots of text book teaching which can get a little frustrating, but if you do your homework and study you'll be fine. Plus, those sweaters
Señor is just a really confused guy from mexico.he rambles about random things
He's a great guy, just a terrible teacher.
Ohh señor ballesteros or (balancesto) you are truly a man of wonders and mystery and the best teacher ever! This man absolutely does nothing he teaches from the text book and just goes over it and all hw is in workbook or textbook. His class is super easy for the first half of the year it was review of last year. He also goes on these flashback moments and you learn some of the most useless facts in the world but hey its better than usual spanish.
His voice puts me to sleep easier than a warm glass of milk, but his class is very easy
Senor is the greatest teacher ever. We did nothing this year and as long as he likes you, you'll get an A. Even if he doesnt like you, you will get an A. He only sucks if you want to actually learn but who really wants to do that.
Señor, as most people call him, is probably the most boring teacher you will ever have. He teaches right out of the textbook, and most of your homework will be really easy but annoying stuff from the workbook. Homework almost every night but it is super easy. honestly, i did my homework in 5 minutes during class while he goes around checking if you did or not. His quizzes and tests are so easy, but the midterm/final is harder than expected. if you don't have a friend.. sucks for you... :P
hes such a good guy, please dont be mean to him, like someone in my class with the initals SG
He might be the worst teacher I have ever had of all time from preschool to now
Senor Ballesteros teaches much differently than other spanish teachers. He actually teaches you culture and what the vocab your learning actually means in context. His quizzes and tests are very easy, and is a little boring, but if you pay attention and dont disrespect him, you will receive an A and have a good time.
His quizzes and tests are super easy. However, I feel like I am learning nothing. BTW, he is very strict on homework and classwork, so do them!
A boss. Lives on his boat. Cool teacher. Class is easy. But your all screwed for midterms/finals. enjoy "senor"
Not one of those spanish teachers that doesnt teach you anything. You learn in his class and he makes you be involved and makes sure your learning. he also always goes over homework and is always open to questions. Better than some spanish teachers ive had in the past
he is nice, but hard to understand, and a very easy teacher.
Very easy class, we got to go off topic on some days to talk about things in and outside school. Really fun, and I learned a little. We never had homework and the quizzes usually were easy, sometimes a little confusing.
i come in late every day and he just smiles at me.. i love senor!!!!
you dont learn anything, and then fail the tests. his lectures put people to sleep (literally) he's a nice guy, though, especially if he likes you.
i wish i could rate him 7 on easiness, we do nothing in his class, he tells stories/gets off topic easily. and he allows people to go to the bathroom for like 10 min without an explanation.
I Don't like him much . hes a cool dude but tries to get you in trouble for no reason
Senor is soo cool! dont take him if you actually want to learn spanish though. His class was so much fun, he is such a nice guy.
Great guy. If you don't want to listen, he doesn't care, he'll only teach before midterms and finals, though. If he likes you, you should have no worries.
senor is the greatest, easiest teacher ive ever had and i dont know why anyone would give him a bad rating
hha LOVE HIM but we dont learn anything-its kinda great though
here it is Senor is the man i love him to death, he is extremely helpful if u got in for extra help, and although he has a bit of a accent he is easily understood. He doesn't ask for much but what he does ask for you are expected to complete well. I have had him for 3 years now and he is great.
nice guy, but you won't learn a thing. screws you over in the end due to the fact that you don't learn anything.
ok if ur not given this teacher a 5 ur insane. no other teacher is as chill and funny as senor. u do 0 work and eat in class and come late and end up with a B+ at least. his class owns, unless ur a nerd and actuallty enjoy learning verb conjugations.
Don't take his class if you ACTUALLY want to learn. Get on his good side and he'll let you leave class when ever you want. Breaks his promises
awesome-best spanish teacher in staples-talk to him(not about spanish) to get on his good side and get a good grade
easiest man to get off topic. score. reccomend having him, just dont fool around first couple of weeks so u get on his good side
Ballesteros u rock! the class is sooooooo funny. he lies to his students and breaks promises but he's still cool
hes a really nice guy, and his classes are good, i learned a lot of spanish from him.
Ballesteros you are the man, muchas gracias por todo, your classes were very fun, keep it up.
very good teacher, nice, great guy too. he doesnt teach the most academically challenging class but he helps out, and i learned alot of spanish from him.
REAL easy, nice to everyone...one of the nicest, friendliest teachers around. He'll try to helpthose who want to learn spanish, but he doesnt teach that much.
a nice guy and a really fun class. he loves people who love spanish but he'll be nice to you even if you dont know ANYTHING. easy as hell, though; his are not the most academically stimulating classes.
