He knows alot of stuff, but he doesn't seem to be able to communicate it well to most of his students. I have a friend who says he's helped her understand math more, but I have most people-including myself-saying he's a bad teacher. I won't say whether I think he is a good person, but I think he needs to be either at a college level, where students want to be in the class, or in a higher grade level, because he acts like we're already in college. He also seems to get angry when we ask questions.

Mr. Altman will move the moon for you only if you seek his help, he's an advanced teacher who know how to succeed in life and just wants to pass those skills down to his pupils. Do the homework, study, and go to his help sessions and you will be fine. Best teacher I've ever had.

He is the rudest teacher I've never had. He will single you out in class if you're too shy to raise your hand or if you don't understand his questions. Then he will tease and mock you and make you want to punch yourself. Plus he's a smart aleck about everything. Don't even try asking him a question about homework because all he will do is give you a sarcastic answer. Also be prepared to hear him say "proofs, postulates, and theorems" about 10 times a day. He's a worthless teacher. haha bye jonap

Mr. Altman deserves a lot of credit. I have him for Pre-AICE Math 2 and he is probably the best fit teacher for the program! Very intelligent and always helpful to me.

Mr. Altman deserves more respect from students, who can't seem to get over the fact that he's a dork. He can sometimes be difficult, but he just wants his students to like math as much as he does.

I had him for geometry in 9th grade, and I must say that he really is a good teacher. He is very passionate about math, to say the least. Granted hes not the most popular teacher by any stretch of the imagination, but he does his job well.

Mr. Altman takes his class seriously. His Geometry Hon. class was easy for me. He was not always fair, and it seemed to me that he singled out certain students to punish. He's smart and an OK teacher, but he needs to be more flexible.

Set in his ways. I had him two years in a row and hated it because he's not a likable guy. He knows things, but teach it in the best way. Admittdly stretchs the lessons and overloads homework to kids busy and keep them from talking.
