Best teacher I had during my entire school career. Challenged me immensely, but improved my thinking and writing beyond what I could have ever imagined it could be. When approached with an open-mind and respect, he was willing to spend a large amount of time just explaining what he meant, and helping you work through your thoughts and ideas and draw conclusions a the end of it all.
Mr. Atkins offered me an opportunity to learn how to think, rather than what to think. He is the only teacher I have had that has done this for me. I will be forever thankful.
Took Planet Waves not quite realizing what I got myself into. Very difficult teacher who makes students turn their papers in before first period, which no other teacher within the entire school has to do. Still, he helps with papers, and is a wealth of knowledge. Take Planet Waves if you are ready for a work intensive course, and a few laughs as you watch him flip out on students who forget to bring in their book.
At first, his classes seem promising, but as you get into the semester, you realize that he is way more concerned about his own philosophical leaps and bounds than any of the students'.
One of the best teachers I've had. He is very tough but awesome at the same time. Take Planet Waves and Sea of Words if you get the chance, they are life changing courses.
Probably the best teacher I've ever had. Helps out so much and has a awesome outlook on the world. Sea of Words still lives!
Amazing teacher, one of the best at the school. Planet Waves was the best course I have ever taken. Sea of Words (though I think it is no more) is also very good. But he is very hard (but very fair)
Amazing teacher. Tough courses, but the best the school offers. Plus his world view is amazing.
Challenging but fair. Planet Waves is the coolest class you can take!
