Hyung K. Nam
Mr. Nam is an activist. His whole class focused on activism and uprisings and wars in history. He uses the shock method to get his points across (he showed videos of animal slaughterhouses for one lesson). Mostly depressing lessons, one or two cheerful ones. Carefully planned lessons with lots of reading and LOTS OF WRITING. Frequent roleplay/class discussion-type things. Likes to argue. Likes to share his opinions on things; doesn't let students talk much if their opinions differ. Learned a lot
Nam is a fantastic teacher with strong political views. He is a very active person, politically, and behaves according to a strict moral code. Some kids complain about his grading, but just adapt people! His class is just like college and Nam is a lot more like a college professor than most high school teachers. He is actually trying to improve the world, not collect a paycheck.

Very biased and a conspiracist. Extremely difficult to get an A and plays favorites. In order to get a good grade in his class you must agree with his opinions. Helpful feedback is nonexistent. In this class everything is "the government's fault"
Very informative, alternative teaching style. Not afraid to challenge controversial beliefs, but will absolutely allow students to disagree, and voice why. People complaining about his biasedness are most likely insecure about their own belief system, and blame the only teacher who is willing to bring up some of these topics.
Great teacher, there isn't anything challenging about the classes that he has taught. You only fail his class if you don't do the little easy assignments he gives or don't pay attention.
while quiet and somewhat cold in demeanor he was by far one of my best and most influential teachers. If you give a s**t about this world and have an open mind you'll enjoy his class.
He is biased how ever everythign he tells you is true....He is great teacher if you want to learn a whole lot of info...Good guy too
He is good at being a teacher but grades based on opinion, so just agree with him on everything and you will pass his class.
he makes me feel like a bad human being...but dont worry, the depression of his class wears off by the end of summer
Mr. Nam is one of the coolest teachers i have ever had. I recommend him 100% percent to the people that actualy want to learn something.
when you teach us history A at wilson you need to teach to ap standerds, or at least try to. bottom line.
After he started out the year proclaiming that he was going to omit the Civil War from our sophomore curriculum, class just went downhill.
