I really liked Mr. Ellis--was sad to see him leave. I learned a lot and he was a genuinely caring person. Classes were interesting: we did experiments most days, and worked in groups, so it was not as structured as most of the other classes. To the extent that people say they did not learn, this is because they didn't take the work seriously. (The classic thing that students do when they find the subject too hard or lack a work ethic: attack the teacher.)
I really enjoyed burning things (wood, glass, magnesium) in Freshman year science. Thank you, Mr. Ellis.
mr ellis, please talk to people that would care. it is so hard to stay awake in your class. I learned nothing! You tryed but we dont follow. If you ever have to have mr. ellis i feel soo sorry for you!
what is with the clickers? it makes it seem like he is too lazy to grade. temple of knowledge anyone?
it's amazing how much he pretends to teach but yet no one learns anything. he's funny sometimes but usually just annoying
Not a very good teacher. Didnt learn anything from his class last year
he's a great teacher, he cares about teaching, it just that sometimes his method of teaching is not very popular amoung the students, but he does care, a lot
ellis has alot of information to share but teaching is not where he needs to be because he cannot get across to students.
I had this guy last year...he's annoying a lot of times, and assigning the questions in the chapter all in one night is evil
i had ellis last year. his complete britishness rocks. he really cares about his students, which shows.
never gets to the point of the assignment and never grades stuff on time
