Mr. Wasserstein is... Words can't properly describe my experience in his class. He's very kind, but he also tends to follow rabbit trails, as mentioned by many people. He's always threatening exams, never gives them. He also tells us to read books and never checks up on us (so I never read them). He's... pretty boring, but I kind of just make up my own learning in his class. He's very concerned for the wellfare of his students so I'd say he's a nice person but a lackluster teacher.
he's really boring and he talks wayyyy too much about unrelated things. he goes off topic a lot. plus, he also tells u the homework and barely ever writes them down, so you're always in a hurry to finish writing down the homework assignment. hated his class
He's extremely intelligent, but unnecessarily loud when "performing" and talking about his kid. He's nice, but super confusing cause you can't tell if he's insane, wants people to think he's insane, or is just trying to make the insanely boring course exciting. He likes the people who participate, even though they don't do any homework or classwork. He grades notes - which i kind of don't get - and you don't get them back for weeks. Threatens exams constantly, never gives them
How can one learn when the class is so boring. I swear all we have been learning in his class is analyzing stuff. He grades you on how much you write sometimes and not what is actually required. He is always looking for something extra. I didn't learn ANYTHING USEFUL in his class so far even though it's almost March. I believe his class is useless but he is a nice guy.
he talks too much about his life. Doesn't teach. Grades everything you do in his class. REALLY BORING
He's a sweet guy but a boring teacher.
The sweetest man you will ever meet. Has loads of life experience and will not hesitate to share it with you. Sometimes he sounds a little crazy or gets kind of boring but he means well and cares about his students so much. If you get him, consider yourself very very lucky
He was a pretty goood teacher but he can be reallly boring sometimes. He makes you take ALOT of notes everyday and hhe collects them and grades tehm. Hes pretty easy you can bd your way thgouh the class but dont get a locker in his room. Hes rarley there afterschoool you have to wait a long time for him to come and sometimes he comes 5 mins before the bell rings fro 1st period
Overalll good teacher you have to put effort and pay attention he loves when ppl particapte
Mr.Wasserstein is overall a good teacher. I don't really like him though. Since I sit in the back I can't really hear him. I can never read his notes on the board. It looks like chicken scratch. He sometimes assigns homework online which is really annoying. I got an email to do 2 essays in 2 days. His lessons are boring and a lot of people tend to talk in his class and not pay attention. I'm definetly going to fail his class. ;(
I hate him soooo much. He is a terrible teacher. Classwork is hard. Homework is harder. He doesn't explain anything thoroughly.
Dont listen to the other comments. Very good teacher sometimes a bit confusing but still very nice and always offers assistance.
A good teacher actually, plus you can tell he enjoys what he teaches. I love his assignments because the answers are in the book and all you need to do is analyze it, which means you pretty much cant be wrong. Pretty simple class, but he can easily drop your grade.
umm.. its a hard class but its interesting to get all the different ways stuff can be interpreted. 2 pages on a chapter?? its one page and not everyday and you get to choose they kind of essay you want sometimes. I learned alot in that class last year and i thought there were lots of lazy students in class. He was always in his room grading stuff and tutoring students.
He's a horrible teacher who gives way too much work - he expects you to work like his class is the only and most important class ever. He doesn't explain himself and he doesn't understand that an essay for a 2 page chapter of a book is insane
He's an easy teacher but he can't teach well at all. ...although he doesn't really give high grades easily either. I had him for drama this year and it was a waste of time. We didn't learn anything really related to drama and basically did what people in other english classes were doing. He talks so much about philosophy and stuff like that. Then he makes us do a speech as the final project. I presented the speech for extra credit and I still got a low grade in the class. I was never late either
Wasserstein may be considered easy to some people but not all. He does fail people if they cheat from sites such as Sparknotes and copy things directly from sources. A 55 is possible and by that dont expect to go all the way back to a 90. Cause he got upset once and all those 92's went to a 90.
all he talks about is religion and mythology. which is kind of annoying. but then again, he's probably one of the easiest teachers in school. you sit there and do ur DDp cubes, get like 0 on all the quiz. and yet. ur average is a 92
I dont really get him, like he doesnt teach for the first month and asks us about our personal lives which is kinda private, what do i know im a freshmen. hope i get a good mark though
u dont have to do ANYTHING literally and u get 85 and its a free period to do hw but dont fool around and interrupt or cut his class then ur in trouble
lol, his class mad easy. just go there and sit. u get a 90
To do well all you have to do is raise your hand in class. A lot of the time his questions are opinionated so I see no reason why you shouldn't get a high grade in his class.Really smart guy, and fun.
EASIEST class ever! NO TESTS AT ALL, so all you gotta worry about are his easy little projects or his surprise quizzes - which he either doesn't grade or doesn't count
Honestly, i have mixed feelings. He gave me a high grade last marking period (like 96! wth!) but I think he's sort of biased (good and bad) towards ppl. It takes forever to read a book though lol.
this dude is a genius.... he noes abt stuff thats not even related to english... like gardening -.-... he explains everything in detail... mad clear.... nice guy... understanding person.... grades maaad easy... all u have to do to geta 90 is talk and raise ur hand in class and maybe haf the hw... hes an actor... mad good at it too...
I had him for freshman English nearly 5 years ago. He was a really nice and caring teacher. He seems really interested in that material which a lot of teacher at Tech are not. He is also pretty over-qualified for the job, I think he graduated from Harvard.
ok. ill mention everything. no tests/quizes. wonderful, doesnt make me even more stressed out. his class..is boring..personally, i dont care about athena and zeus. i stay awake though. mostly for him. hes really a great person. i notice that everything he says, i can relate to. thats why i bother to not sleep. he says a lot of meaningful things...somewhere inbetween the lines. anyway, i listen cause i know there will always be something that will help me get through another day.
Never, ever, ever, ever will you have a test in his english class.... He grades you on your homework which he collects AT THE END OF THE TERM!!! Very High Grade
He will bore you, he goes in way too deep into the reading. But, he's a very high grader. Virtually no tests/quizzes.
mr. wasserstein is sooo hilarious. and hes jus an overall cool person.
great teacher! he teaches in a completely different perspective from other teachers, love to see him act out the scenes. *sighs* i wish i had him again
He gives high grades easily. I missed a lot of homeworks but I never expected to get an 80. It kind of made me work harder then next term.
he's confusing a little bit but u can sleep in class or do w/e as long as u give in hw and u pass don't even have to participate that much
The little man rules! He's really intelligent and actually understands literature. He always knows what he's talking about.
Picture this: falling asleep after writing ur reaction, then being awoken by a loud scary voice, he was sooo much fun..watching him act out scenes was soo funny
very good teacher.. he made his class interesting.. there was alot of work but he was an easy grader.. all in all hes great!
very cool..very amusing n enthusiatic..had him 4 2 terms n it was fun..loved the symbolism a lot
Lots of assigned work, NO returned or graded work or final exams... yet mad high grades? Whatever. Thanks for the average boost!
Mr.Baggins! rocks. Very insightful. Makes you think Had him three terms straight and 90 and up every time!
Hello Mr Baggins. He's the funniest into the story english teacher. He knows how to make a story come alive. I think he should have played bilbo baggins in lord of the rings!
Easy teacher, nicer since he got married. He's very deep and enjoys reading.
Mad easy, sometimes confusing, never returns work... so how we graded?
Very deep person, and makes you a deep person, easy grader unlike others
easy going teacher but demands a lot for hw(do it inclass). doesn'tgivefinals!!
makes u think... light or darkness? or light? or darkness?
I learned rigor in this class! Mr. Wasserstein help you learn to think
had him for 5 terms, I actually use to luv his class, his teaching style is diff
Didn't realize how good this teacher is till the last semester very cool guy!
His homework sometimes takes too long, but really easy..and he's an ok grader
good teacher, but way to much work, but i like reading
Lots of hw, very clear and direct with lessons, encouraging
He talks about very deep stuff. Encourages students to talk unlike ---nospace
i remembered my first intro as an actress in his class: juliet! fun...
I found out I can do better work(and more of it) that I ever thought possible.
Jumps from topic to topic a lot, but pretend you understand!!
Weird teaching style, but you'll get high grades if you talk and do your work.
Unfocused... What is he talking about? I am so confused. What?
