I'm 36 now, (class of '96) and Mrs. Davis will always be my favorite teacher over all my years of study. Funnily, she's diminuitive, yet the most intense and intimidating of persons. And I love her, still! I have many wonderful memories of her during my Honors freshman and senior courses. "I get you coming and I get you going" I recall her saying. She introduced us to incredible works of literature and held us to the highest of standards and expectations. So many stories I'd love to share...
After many years of school, including 2 Bachelor's Degrees and an MFA in Creative Writing, Mrs. Davis was still my best teacher ever. I had her for both freshman and senior Honors English. The classes were challenging, but they were taught very well and I used my notes from high school all the way through college - they were more thorough than many of the textbooks we use. I don't know if she still teaches, but Mrs. Davis was a great teacher and a great woman.
I had Mrs. Davis for Honors English both my freshman and senior years. Both classes were hard, but I learned so much, even more than in many college classes. She was my best teacher ever.
Most challenging teacher I have ever had. Prepares students for the real world and success. If you do well with Jackie Davis, you can do well anywhere.
One of the best experiences ever. Learned so much that helped me in college!!!!
