When we hit a tuning fork against a beaker, he yelled out "Hey!" across the room. He really liked that. And his favorite experiment -- was driving his VW off the roof of the North Wing.

Mr. Bierne is not a good teacher. The only grades you have in that class are test grades, maybe 3 a marking period. He doesn't teach from a book, but rather from a jumble of words and pictures that he puts on the overhead and calls notes. He only has one freshman class, and we all think that he should have never been assigned to freshman.

Mr. Beirne is a great guy...he may come off as a "mad scientist" sometimes, but really cares about how well his students do.
