He's excellent, very knowledgeable, respectful, and nice to talk with. I was his student in Government class for one semester, I was an exchange student from Indonesia. I remember he paid so much interest on moslem world, Asian politics, and even the first person on year 2006 that told me about Obama's origin in Indonesia.
By far, Dr. Frick was the best history teacher I ever had. He wasn't easy, which was a good thing, because he really challenged us. I learned a lot of what I know about writing from him.
Dr. Frick was likely the best teacher I had at JB--definitely the history dept's best. He made history interesting by telling personal stories of historical figures. Challenging and knowledgeable!
Mr. Frick was probably the most college like teacher that I had. He expected you to actually read the material. He helped me find teaching as a career.
Frick helps if you ask. He's only opinionated to try to get you to defend what you believe. He likes discussion and if you don't discuss you don't learn
His classes aren't hard if you spend a little time reading the textbook! My only complaint: surprise essays in AP History. He is helpful if you ask questions.
