Graduated in '80. Absolutely my favorite teacher. Practically the only teacher I really remember except for my band director. I think of Mr. Hicks every time I burn the phlogiston out of something.
I graduated in 86 and I still remember Atm liters/mole degree kelvin. I loved him.I teach Science in CCISD. I try to inspire my students like he did.
I graduated in '81 and still remember what a great time I had in chem class! Loved the lectures as the German "professor!" Hilarious! Thank you, Mr. Hicks!
Anyone remember this one..."atmosphere liters per moles degrees kelvin"...cats without whiskers, wrapped up in packages. Great guy, loved UT.

Class was hard at times but I learned a lot. He got me so interested in Chem that I am now a Chemist.
He's awesome and really prepared me for college, his class is a challenge, to succeed you need to read teh book, and do problems, go figure...
