He tends to have favoritism. He is not afraid to call you out to the entire class and/or yell at you, if you as much as whisper to a classmate. But to give him the benefit of the doubt, he does know a lot about US History and tries to interact with his students (even if it may be weird sometimes) and tries to make the class fun. Yes he teaches out of the textbook, but he is awesome for having his students do self-taught work, since that's an essential skill for college and higher level courses.

He is really nice and wants his students to do well. However, he goes off on a million tangents and can talk forever about absolutely nothing. He always compliments the girls in my class which is kinda strange, but I think he does it to be nice and he doesn't know what not to say. He knows a ton about history, but teaches primarily out of the textbooks. He is an say grader and the tests are easy with an exception of about 2 hard questions per test.

anyone who hasn't expirenced him for MUN or YAG are in for a shock...his personality can be erratic but don't let it get you down. he really cares about his students and is always willing to help. little to no studying is required to get an A!

History was my highest grade until I had Mr. Washburn. When you ask him a question, he gives you a 15 minute response, but avoids giving you an actual answer. I found all of his classes pointless and a waste of my time.I'm a

APGP is a horrible class. The debates are boring. He picks your side for you, which makes you unenthusiastic, plus you can only speak once. That will make you unexcited and he will berate you for that. He goes off on tan

He's a really cool and interesting guy, but isn't really a good teacher. Most of the stuff in his class comes straight from the textbook :(

I liked him, though AP Gov Pol wasn't as easy as i thought, but he's definitely a really nice guy and very understanding, as long as you have the work ethic to show. Work hard and participate in discussionand you'll do fine.

He is a great guy and teacher but the class was not an easy A. He is very intelligent and he is interested in anything you mention in class that has to do with academics :)

Wow my opnion of Mr. Washburn has changed a lot over this year. His teaching style is still a little cramped, but I think if he would loosen up a bit more he could be a great guy and teacher. I will miss him next year....

A lot of the stuff we do in class has nothing to do with what we're talking about...... and PLAY THE PROFESSOR, COPS, and TERRITORIAL TREATY TALKS????? Definitely not my idea of "fun games". PLEASE be more concise!!
