I'm honestly going to miss his class. He had extensive knowledge on almost any topic you could think of and his lectures, although sometimes difficult to follow in a smooth manner, were engaging, information-packed and generally amazing. Of course, no one will forget the amount of funny jokes that give you a "comical relief" from the rather harsh natures of Marat or Bonaparte. If you have him for either World or European History, you'll have quite the time. Great teacher and definitely a legend.
I love Mr. Mitchell one of the funniest teachers I've had. He always keeps you interested in the class. Great Guy
Mr Mitchell is an incredible teacher, and the most funny teacher I have had. In terms of Global History, he is the most knowledgeable person I know and it is a very interesting class.
His tests are HARD. i understand it is global but he does not help with tests. 2 days before he will say "there is a wordbank on edline" But they are jsut a bunch of words. For example we were learning about the middle east and on of the words was IRAN. It is not easy to study on a test when he says you need to know IRAN. It is not even like you can use his powerpoints cause they are all pictures/ So everybody just googles Iran and studies the first wikipedia senetcne and gets a 70 on the test.
Great track coach and teacher. If kids do bad in his class they should honestly reevaluate themselves...or do track and get a guaranteed 90 lol
One of the great teachers in Iona Prep history - a master of making history interesting and relevant to modern students.
please lighten up. the stuff you say to me ruins my whole day
Jan the man, yea he can be alittle mean but in the end its always an interesting class
Great Coach. Great Teacher. Respect gets respect..follow that and youll be fine.
I had Mr. Mitchell last year as a fresheman and I have to say that he is definitely the best teacher that I have had so far at Iona. He is very knowledgable about what he teaches and is right on top of his game. Hes also an amazing track coach and the most dedicated teacher I have came accross at the prep so far.
Hes polarzing. One thing everyone will agree on though is that hes amusing.
Obviuosly changed since I was in his class. Graduated in 1982 and he was great back then. I learned buckets of info from him and admired his ability to have so much knowledge.
how do u be a track coach..kids go run 6 miles in 4 degree weather... meanwhile every1 is sitting in the park chillin out ur classs is a joke... i got a 60 on 2 test n still have an average of 89
Perhaps it's time to let go. No teaching, no correcting of homework, relentless on some kids. The only redeeming quality is if you join track...guaranteed 85.
THIS MAN IS AMAZING! I LOVE HIM SO MUCH! HE IS THE GREATEST TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD!
I failed every test he ever gave and my overall average was a 96.
Looked Forward To every Class!!! Made History Fun and Interesting. Keep up the Good Work!!!
