Mrs. Taylor has been one of the worst teachers I have ever had. She thinks she's the "best chem teacher" and I'm quoting her. She does not really even have lectures. Good luck studying alone.

Good luck, read the book, go to Jone's tutoring... but if you actually do all her problems, you'll be fine for the AP (there are just a ton of them)

She will not prepare you for the AP at all. She does not teach you anything and then tests you on it. If you get her be prepared to learn chapters of chem on your own. i suggest going to to another teacher in 8th period to get help w/ thing you dont get.

I had Taylor for AP but was pretty good at chemistry, so I lucked out. She is not a mean teacher, but she cannot teach or prepare you for the AP. Do not expect much/study on your own. She is very nice though and willing to help, but your best bet might be to ask a smarter friend. She's new at TJ so hopefully she will figure out what TJ students, not base school students, need.

I had Ms. Taylor for CHUM. So it's a pretty chill class right? Well, it's not so chill when you fail your midterm and final. She weights really oddly, which sometimes can help your grade- other times, it won't at all. She doesn't teach enough for her tests. Also, she won't change your grade if she graded your quiz/test wrong. She accused me of erasing an answer when she misgraded it :(

If you had Jones or Acio for chem 1, you should do fine in AP. Alot of kids scramble to get work done before class and/or get answers off the internet and then complain about getting bad grades on the tests. By the end of the year, you'd have taken many AP practices. But also read the textbook. It's kind of weird how we ended with chemical equations though.

Nice person, but not too helpful as a teacher... She weights her grades twice so your grades are even lower than they should be. There's also a bunch of kind of useless busy work, and we didn't really learn anything in AP Chem. I studied for the AP exam by reading my Barron's book and didn't even look at the gigantic (and kind of useless) packets she gave us.

It's obvious she does not prepare before class. She is often wrong and teaches you things that are completely incorrect. Her notes and sometimes good, but she does not teach. Reading the book is best. Do not listen to her "lectures" because they do not help. Her class is easy, but it's hard to learn what you need to because she's incompetent.

Mrs. Taylor does not have command of the material in AP Chemistry. She is often confused and frequently wastes class time.

Very poor teacher. She can be very unreasonable and does not go over material class, making us study at home. She thinks that giving hard tests makes her a good teacher. She is also unorganized and loses grades.

I adore Mrs. Taylor. She's been so great all four years. I've asked her incessant questions, and even though she's busy she's always had time for me. Thanks!

She tells the real deal about the teachers. She'll let you know who NOT to have, which is VERY helpful. I don't agree with cutting extracurriculars, though.
