Although Mrs. Cooper's class is fairly difficult, I can without a doubt say that she is one of the most kind, helpful, and knowledgeable teachers I have ever had. In order to succeed in her class, it is important NOT to procrastinate on work. It is also helpful to meet with Jeanne on a regular basis to get to know her better and to ask her any questions that you may have. Jeanne is a tough grader but she will definitely will prepare you for college. Overall, she is a good teacher.
Jeanne is very set in her opinions and very smart. The reading quizzes aren't hard if you read the books, but then again what's the fun in that? She likes to set block work, meaning that a lot of work is due on one day but we have a while to do it. This doesn't work for anyone because no one does anything until the last minute. This class is funny and we do learn a lot
Jeanne is one of the most knowledgeable and interesting teachers I ever had. She is always willing to help students with their work. Pay attention to the readings and you'll do fine.
She is a brilliant woman and very nice, but she has very strong opinions. I felt like I had to write papers saying what I thought she wanted to hear rather than what I really wanted to say. Also her
Jeanne's class isn't that hard if you can read and write English. Still, she is never boring! Take her class and she will have you captivated every day, and she gives you exactly the grade you deserve
pros: interesting class discussions, good teacher, smart, cares about students cons: hard reading quizzes, takes waaay to long to grade papers, tough grader, very opinionated
I absolutely hate the reading quizzes, she has very strong opinions, but is interesting to listen to. Tough grader.
I LOVE JEANNE COOPER. she is a really nice advisor and is so into literature that she makes it so much fun to learn about. she puts in so much effort to meet with kids 1 on 1 and is just amazing!
great teacher. sometimes a hard grader but it isn't that bad.
Great teacher, but sometimes frustratingly hard grader. Sometimes I think the A-School teachers feel the need to bend over backwards withto prove the A-School is hard. Really, that helps nobody.
Ms. Cooper is very bright and you'll learn alot in her class.
Jeanne is a good teacher and really helpful, if you seek her out, however she is pretty hard. Her last assignment she gave one A- and like one B+. Bank days are too cool! AP '06!
Jeane is the best English teacher I have ever had. Because of her I am a better student
nice lady probably, but very boring class, all we did was take reading quizzes, she never got around to actually teaching. she doesn't listen to ppl's opinions, and gets stressed for no apparent reason. has an inferiority complex
Jeanne is a very good teacher but sometimes she just bugs out.she gets stressed over what seems to be the most simple things and she cant stand when more than one person talks at the same time. i dont appreciate being yelled at or made to feel dumb.
always criticizing opinions. never actually explains anything. treats my class (11th grade regular track) as if were a 12th grade AP (not a good thing)
Jeanne is a really nice person, but a really, really bad teacher...especially when she has to teach with another teacher.
If uneed an apointment w/ her, do it @ the beginning of the quarter, because towards the end she gets booked up real fast. A hard grader, but the rewrites help!
Makes sure to bring her politics into the classroom. Her class should not be considered English class, but "Liberal Indoctrination 101"
nice, but her classes are boring, and sometimes attriubes the wrong motives to her students' actions: wish for more literary analysis and fewer reading quizzes
Fanastic teacher! Knows her stuff, teaches with zest and originality. Never a boring class.
She is SO nice. I'm a HUGE fan of the Bank Days policy. I'm not so much of a fan of the reading quizzes though.
Shes so nice and is a great teacher. SHe really cares about her students. I loved having her!
