a pretty good teacher at hse
Jed MEllot is literally the goat, also disc action is hype
Mr. Mellott is what I would call a "quality" teacher, definitely one of HSE's gems. A lot of the teachers would probably receive "quad dottage" from me if I had to grade them, but Mr. Mellott not only developed me as a learner but as a person He was never afraid to call me out if he knew I was out of line academically, he was very personable, and he genuinely cared. Passionately driven individual who loves his work, who you can tell gives 100% day in and day out.
An overall solid dude. Tells great stories and is a funny guy. Pretty strict though
Just an overall legend. If you were to think of the GOAT teacher, he would have all the same qualities. Just a reminder, orange jewelry is allowed in the class. Honors physics is the highlight of my day with this beast. Not well known at the school, but he's one of the best in the building.
Shoutout Mr. Mellott, you the GOAT
good teacher, you only dislike him if you don't do your work
I had him first semester of my sophomore year for chemistry. I ended up switching out as soon as I could because his work didn't go well with my learning style. I learn more hands on and doing other activities, but I felt like I was in honers in his class! We did notes and book work EVERY day, and because he has a bad back he would never explain anything on the board. He did spend a lot of time helping me after school with my work, but I found myself focusing a major part of my time doing chem.
He's honestly one of the best teachers I've ever had. He won't hand and answer to you but if you come to him willing to put in the work and understand what you learn sticks with you. Awesome guy.
His teacing takes a while to get used to, but he is an expert on his subjects and is dedicated to his purpose.
this class set up will make college general chem seem easy. it really takes massive amounts of individual work to keep up in this class (AP Chem)
very unique teacher. chances are, you will either like him or not. i liked him, he motivates you to work. especially if he can see your just being lazy.
Mellott has his own interesting style of teaching. He does prepare you for college, though, and I learned more in his AP Chem classes than in any other in high school.
