Mrs. Kigar is an amazing teacher who really cares about her students and is extremely dedicated. If you have the opportunity to take AP Lit, do it. I learned more in her English class than in all my previous ones. At times the workload can seem overwhelming, but Mrs. Kigar is always there if you have questions. Also, she knows a lot about helping kids get into college/college essays.
Mrs. Kigar is a nice enough human being, but she plasters this big, fake smile on her face as she assigns you load upon load of busy work. She seems to have very little compassion during the beginning of the school year, and doesn't consider how hard her students have to work on college applications. She knew many were stressed at that time, but still assigned projects and papers and reading every night. I expected that in the end, AP Lit would be better than AP Lang, but it definitely wasn't.
Very difficult, but a great teacher.
So glad I only have 2 more weeks with her. Have a nice life.
Ms.KIgar is probably the worst teacher the you could possibly have for English. All she really does is give you assignment after assignment. It's basically like she has no life. She talks about her family all the time. The only thing she is good at is being annoying and judgmental to many of her students. She likes to pick favorites. She try's to be funny but really she's not. She's a preacher's wife so all her jokes are related to her religion. Ugh Kigar's class is so no worth it!!! stay away!!
Mrs.Kigar is more than a great teacher, she's one of my absolute favorite people. One day I hope to love my job half as much as she loves hers, and I learn more about life and what it means to be human in her class than anywhere else. Most mornings I wake up excited to go to school and see what we'll be doing in Kigar's class. She's genuinely caring, patient, and helps us perfect our writing because she's honest with it, and treats us like adults. That is more than worth it. Stay awesome!
Had her for media communications last semester. Mrs. Kigar is a great teacher, and she's always willing to answer any questions you have. She's always in a good mood!
Mrs. Kigar has been a helpful, informative instructor. She is fair, pleasant, and fun in class. I recommend her.
DONT TAKE WRITING FOR THE REAL WORLD - Worst class of my life. Very difficult with unreal expectations, she treats it like her AP classes. NEWS FLASH: it's not.
No complaints about the work really. She just reminds me of Barbara bush...thats not a good thing
Mrs. Kigar is the most awesome teacher I know. She is nice and loves her students and makes us smile. With out her I would hate english. Plus, she is very fair.
everyone who says they don't like her needs to grow up. this is the real world, not easy A life. she is nice and prepares you for college.
Im doing good in her class but i can c she sometimes grades really randomly and harshly
I like her a lot! She has fun stories and make the classes a ton more fun than many other teachers! thanks Mrs. Kigar!
um, can you start being nice anytime soon? you are not better than everyone else!
She makes you work hard and treats you like an adult. Teachers don't exist just to make life easy for you.
She's an awesome person, and very funny. But can be annoying and ditzy, and wayy to many stupid assignments
SO MUCH WORK. test after test after test then she throws in a paper and a quiz and a project. AAGHHHH whatever happened to an easy senior year??????
She is the nicest person, but I don't like how she can give us a bunch of tests in a week and reading on top of that.
Smiles as she yells at you. Smiles as she talks about her family. Smiles as she grades arbitarily. Those are just about the only things she ever does.
She is a really nice person and she cares about her students.
Mrs. Kigar, sometimes it seems as if you give us assignments just because you have nothing else to do, make us do something thats actually worth it.
Would you rather have her frown at you? Kigar is awesome and makes english
she's ok, she can be a little annoying and grades harshly but her class is fun
Prepared me very well for college, what more can you ask for?
Grades things too literally instead of looking at the big picture
TOO MUCH WORK, ITS A SENIOR CLASS, SHOULD BE SEMI RELAXED
