Mrs. Robb, in short, is a horrible teacher. She rushes through notes and lessons, spending half the class on going over homework and classwork. Answers questions well but misses the main points of lessons, so you have to often look in the textbook. The tests are difficult, but the same for each teacher in the course. The homework isn't that hard, as she usually doesn't check it very carefully. You could write random stuff on the worksheets and she would still count the homework as completed.
She's unclear with what she says and she skims through the lessons too quickly. Good luck if you have her.
Mrs. Robb is knowledgeable but is horrible at executing that knowledge. She is a horrible teacher. She goes through lesson plans very fast and is uneasy with explanations. She tries to teach as much as she can instead of teaching with quality. People I know who have been good at math all of their life are receiving C's on their tests and as their overall. I'm not a student who doesn't try or ditches but at this point being in her class and not is jsut the same. Switch out asap.
In her class, you either get it or you don't. She goes through the material really quickly and if you're not gifted at math, you suffer. She truly doesn't care if you are struggling or not. Probably close to a fourth or fifth of my class dropped out.
Mrs.Robb is a very knowledgeable teacher but she doesn't know how to teach lessons to her classes. I always find her rushing through the powerpoints and quickly solving problems while the class is trying to catch up and record the last equations she solved. She gives way too much textbook homework for every night which collides with other assignments in other classes. She also always assigns homework that she has not taught us yet and doesn't give much time for quizzes and tests.
Don't know what all of y'all are smoking, but Robb is probably the worst teacher I have had. Ever. Period. She takes the textbook examples and puts them directly on a Powerpoint, which she shows to the class. You almost never get through the Powerpoint because she spends over half of class going over the homework from the previous class, because no one was taught how to do the problems. Her tests do not reflect what was taught in class at all. I had her for 2 years, and those two classes sucked
She knows what she's saying. The question is, do us students get what the heck she's saying? Lots of HW, review questions, and sometimes material in hw we have not learnt.
The class is hard, and she is not all that nice to the students. However, if you can get past being obsessed with the grade and pay attention to whether your child is actually learning and being pushed in the subject matter, you will appreciate Ms. Robb. My daughter's wish is that there was more time given for the tests -- she never seemed to have enough time to complete the quizzes and tests. She did not get an A but truly learned the material -- the real goal.
Not sure what is going on this year? Everyone had been dropping her class and taking online classes.
How can you keep a teacher when there are less than 10 students left in the class halfway through the year?
Administration needs to look into this.
As others have said, she's a very intelligent person. If you "get it," her class won't be a problem for you and you'll learn a lot. If you don't "get it," you're in for a tough ride and she can be a bit intimidating to ask for help (but it's worth it if you do).
she works really hard and tries to explain the material so that the students can understand it she knows the material better than the book
i had her for precalc honors, and she definitely knew the subject extremely well. if you are as good at math as she is, then her class will be a cakewalk for you. unfortunately, most of my classmates and i were not quite that smart, and so it was extremely difficult. if you decide to take AB calc after having robb for honors, it will be comparatively easy
She is actually very smart and overqualified to teach Precalculus Honors. The thing is it can be quite hard to follow her lessons; i ended up teaching myself the course at home. Not only she moves a tad quickly but she fails to convey the information from a vantage point conducive to young students. Her warm ups are very helpful. Her review of the homework is not. She sometimes can sound very bored and unhappy with her job; she's been teaching the same material for almost 10 years. Part 1
her lectures are useless because she goes so fast, but in general good. Online notes, smartboard notes, study guides, practice tests are excellent and save you. just never slack off, esp in trig
QUIZ CORRECTIONS IN 2003??? WHY DONT WE HAVE THOSE ANYMORE??? everyone fails your quizzes you need quiz corrections to understand the matieral.
I love Ms. Robb! She is such a cool teacher, and I learn a lot in her class. She is very scary when she yells though.
She's really cool and helpful, but her class is kinda hard. If you do the assigned homework and ask questions in class, you'll be fine. But if you ever start slacking off, things can get hard.
she was one of the worst teachers ive ever had in my life. she sucked. shes NOT helpful whatsoever and possibly one of the dumbest people i've ever met. AVOID HER AS MUCH AS YOU CAN TRUST ME
ms. robb was an awesome teacher! although i didn't get a good grade she was a lot of fun
Good teacher. Very mean though: bad temper. Threw a few kids out a lot. Can take a joke, but only so far. Pretty clear. Mid-level tests. Previous Gov. of VA's daughter (no joke). Just take good notes.
only thing that makes this class at all hard is b/c she is too boring to pay attention and only reviews homework so paying attention is a waste of time.
She's a great teacher. Don't fool around too much in her class. She can be super fun and nice.
More helpfull then just a 5. If I had any other teacher I wouldn't have been doing so great in math the last 2 years. If onll all teachers could be so good.
Ok person. Didn't learn much, the book taught me Geo., but she didn't assign much HW which was cool. And Quiz Corrections saved my butt!
