Ms. Rapp is one of the worst teachers I've had. She's nice and all but that doesn't really contribute to your grade in her class. She doesn't go over anything and if you ask her, she doesn't give a clear explanation. Also, her tests are super hard and her homework is long. She doesn't teach so if you wanna pass her class somehow just go self-study. Just don't take the class.
Tests are beyond difficult compared to the homework. She'll give notes and sample problems on the board during class but you can bet that most of the stuff isn't on the test. You would want to ask her to help but she is very impatient and sometimes has a clear "get out of my face" attitude when you ask for clarification on a test or homework problem. Overall, it seems like her teaching gets worse as the year progresses. Tries harder to make jokes and dress hip than actually teaching.
Just know that it is better to study on your own and she will never round your grade..
Ms. Rapp is nice and understanding. I don't know why everyone doesn't like her. She is literally the best teacher ever in my entire high school career. I had her for Trig H and got solid A's both semesters so performing well in her class is definitely not impossible! I'm grateful that she taught us Trig.
expects you to know everything including new lessons. she's always calling on people about questions in a new section that she didnt even go over yet. if u dont know how to self teach yourself, you should not take this class
The worst teacher in the math department at MKHS, gets stuck on her own examples, extremely hard tests that aren't even scaled to the hw, and by far, the worst lecturer that does not know how to explain anything.
if you get her, transfer how immediately
I don't get any of her lecture. SO CONFUSE
Best math teacher ever. I think she is awesome; everyone else was very intimidated by her though. Her tests and quizzes are hard, but manageable if you are willing to put in the work. She might not be very clear all the time, but you can ask her to explain. She will help you.
I loved ms. Rapp, I had her for algebra 2b. She's very detailed when lecturing, and I understood almost everything she taught us. Warning though! She WILL make everyone go up to the board and do problems EVERYDAY, unless there's a quiz/test. It was anxiety-inducing for a shy person like me, but I felt like it did help me learn and she will help you if you don't know how to do the problem. She let's us do our math homework if we have time, and will help you, just go up to her and ask.
had Ms. Rapp for Trig H in soph year. Received A's both semesters. Must self-teach.
gives a reasonable amount of problems & not picky about completion, correctness
Doesn't teach. Her "teaching" is having students copy her pre-written notes on the board.
spends too much time going over homework problems.
Would not retake her class.took it cause trig h is weighted. If you need/want to learn trig, take another class. Already know trig and need GPA boost? take it.
If you don't have a strong background in math but you want an A in her honors class, definitely go to the after school tutoring sessions or get a private tutor.
I like ms. rapp as a person, but not as a teacher. She is very nice, but a very bad teacher. We use the textbook everyday but the questions on our test/quizzes are 10x harder than what the textbook gives us.
Strict in grading, deducts points for every little things..but she teaches alright~Never ask her to round the grades for u, cuz she'll never do it and she will yell at u...
She's not very clear in her teaching...not to mention that she doesn't answer our questions about our homework. She doesn't even give us answers for corrections.
She cares about the way she dresses more than her own students.
best teacher ever, very helpful, kind, tests are very intuitive -- she teaches everything that is on them
if you are taking her for trig/precal prepare yourself with bad grades. if you never got a D or an F on tests. you will for sure in her class at least once. in class, 79.99=C, 89.99=B. okay teacher.
Homework everyday. Learn it yourself or pay attention in class. Strict.
rapp may seem hard, but she is not. she teaches very clearly. her notes are very helpful and that is why she makes you take them. its funny when she tries to be funny. decent alg 2 teacher.
She's really nice and helps you after school or during lunch. Her teaching made me love alg 2 and understand it well. Her tests are sometimes tricky but fairly easy. I got an A.
Many people don't like her I don't know why, she's pretty nice to my class the whole year, pretty easy, not much busy work. Her Trig class feels like heaven after I took a year of Ms. Leon's Alg II H.
I had her for Algebra 1. She was very scary I was afraid to ask questions because of the way she acted. During the school year I saw her smile twice. Bad habit of taping her marker on the board.
AFTER HAVING MS.RAPP'S CLASS FOR TWO YEARS IN A ROW SHES NOT THAT BAD. I THINK SHE IS A GOOD TEACHER BUT SHE HAS MOOD SWINGS SOMETIMES.
She holds favorites (the smart ones of course). First semester, she was helpful to me because I got A's, but second semester, I got C's and she turned out to be uncaring.
She has a very annoying habit of tapping her marker against the board to get our attention. What the heck is so hard about saying "Listen up?" or "Look at this
I thought she was easy, as long as you understand the subject matter, her class isn't that hard. Her accent and ways of teaching aren't the best though.
worst math advisor...chose bad and selfish leaders, just because she likes those people. Favors too much, period.. go to some english class.
She can't speak well, don't ever get into her class...
