Honestly, just do the work he assigns. He assigns reasonable work and the majority of readings from his textbooks are tested upon. There is no reason you can't get a B+ or better in this class with minimal effort.

Excellent teacher. If you don't know something, simply ask. If you don't pay attention during lecture and/or don't at least study some of the textbook, you won't do well, as I imagine most of these salty reviewers didn't.

I have him for AP US History. We don't learn much about history at all, the only thing we really do in class is talk about current events. His tests are too hard for what we do in class, and he gives way to much unhelpful busy work.

Ritzer was a phenomenal teacher. Not always the easiest, but he expected you to learn, not just get grades. Greatly encourages critical thinking skills and will listen to any valid (read: reasonable) point.

The man has napoleon syndrome. He is also extremely biased. Hard to learn about government from someone was liberal as him. I consider myself a democrat and I still question the way he forces his opinion his classes. Should be taught by someone more neutral. Also tests and homework are extremely hard.

It is a very interesting question, was Ritzer always a horrible teacher or was it just after he received tenure? No one will ever know. Good luck.

Really cool guy, except he treats his regular history class like an AP class. I spend 90% of my homework time on his class

Yes he assigns a lot of homework. I probably should have actually done something in his class. But, I can really relate to Mr. Ritzer due to his beiefs and reasoning. Very smart teacher and his beard is tight. Only problem was my essays "weren't good enough" because I write on a college standard, but he has his own way

I was a junior when I took his senior sociology class. The class was extremely interesting. His lectures pertained to the material and essentially we would watch two movies a week and then do an hour a week of homework, with a test once a week. The only hard part about being in his class was his crossword puzzles, his clues were always confusing.

Mr. Ritzer was a great Sociology teacher. His lectures were thorough and always involved discussions, not to mention they were extremely fun to participate in. His tests are what you would expect, no surprises. One of my favorite teachers

Ok i have him for REGULAR US history this year, and I am doing worse than i did in Berka's Advanced Euro Class. At times I really like him, but others he annoys the heck out of me with constant worksheets and "learning tools". WAY TOO MUCH HOMEWORK!
