When she talks, you could tell she actually really understands and has a passion for what she teaches, but.... the actual teaching often isnt clear. Plus, you do need to self study a bit for tests, like a quarter of your tests later on will be selfstudy.
She's bad at teaching but if you can self study chemistry or already learned most of the material then take her because she's honestly really chill. You can eat food, go on your phone, sleep and be late to class and she doesn't really care. She grades hard so make sure you're on top of your work. Super lenient and chill on class rules, not so much on grades and tests.
She seems to really know her stuff. Her lectures are really long & can be confusing because it's all over the place, but if you ask questions, she can surely explain it to you & help you understand. You'll have to do a lot of independent study in her class by reading the book. The homework load isn't too bad. Try to set some time aside to study for her tests, & never miss a homework assignment. Those are easy points to make up for her tests if you do bad on them. It's a lot of memorizing & math.
she's not a good teacher but she knows her stuff. go ask her for help outside of class if you need it, dont be scared. her tests are okay, just read the book. get full points on the hw binder b/c they help ur grade a lot. really chill class.
DO NOT GET HER FOR CHEM! she will not teach... she always goes "You should have learned this in honors" for those of us in Chem AP/IB... she spends half of the period talking to her TA's who curse across the room in class... she doesnt teach us anything, and im genuinely lost in that class... she just gives us tons of homework and expects us to know how to do it, and she tells us to read the books, but i still dont get it... on night labs, she thinks of it the day of the lab... unprofessional...
she has a bad rep for "not teaching at all" but if you pay attention you learn a lot of things and shes a super chill and fun teacher. usually people only fail because they start the class with an expectation of failure! and learning how to be more independent is a good skill if you want to go to college anyways.
she's such a nice teacher, but she can't really teach. just self-study and make sure you do the binder- it's easy points.
I had Braviroff throughout the year and honestly her class is so chill and she is so nice that it is hard to concentrate in her class, but if you actually pay attention and listen youll get an A
Although she DOES go off topic a lot.. She is a very smart teacher. If you listen and concentrate in class and then read the book later, you are guaranteed an A. She is a very nice and chill teacher;)
scared at first when i joined the class; however, she is an extremely great person and really, you MUST SELF-STUDY and THEN LISTEN. the book gives you one side of the story, and she, the other.
At first I heard how bad of a teacher she was but she isnt bad at all! I had her for summer school (chem honors), her lectures are really clear, but make sure you listen to her otherwise you'll fail.
Mrs.Braviroff is actually a really good teacher! I enjoyed her class, and it was really fun and easy! I love how she gives free coffee and tea and sells food in class, mmm.
wow dude chill, just cause you failed the class doesn't mean she's a bad teacher.
Although she is very smart, she can't teach well... self study 95% of the class
not really good with teaching her stuff, but she knows them all. Self-study to the max and no break in between tests since she always teach so fast and does not let us have time to rest. Worksheets and Study Guides gave me headaches and not to mention that she has a irregular test style! Anyways, she's really concerned about cheating and does not like students to hire "expensive tutuors" (quote!).
I had her for AP Chemistry and even though many of my friends didn't like her because they said she "doesn't teach," I think she taught pretty well. She's very nice and is cool about moving test dates. Also, she stresses the "self-studying" part of school and she really wants her students to be independent. She's a great teacher and you'll love her! Free tea and coffee whenever you want!
she is nice and easy, better to have her for honor or regular chem. If your displine enough then you will be good.
She knows her stuffs, like she solve problems on the board. But, she's not very organized and she doesn't plan out teachings, so it gives students a hard time doing well in her class. You gotta be asking her questions if you don't get something, or else she won't teach you.
She's nice and very chill! There is barely and hw but you don't learn much. It's a laid back class.
She's "nice" as a teacher (little homework) , but she's not very good at teaching the material. If you do have her as a teacher, expect to rely on yourself to learn rather than to be taught.
Mixed opinions. She doesn't assign much homework/tests and there's a LOT of self studying involved. Just be sure to ace the tests and save yourself some headache. Otherwise though, she's pretty lenient on grades (you can sometimes convince her to bring your C to B-) and she sells food in class.
she's kind of eccentric..lots of the time you have to study on your own. took chem honors with her sophomore year..and it was honestly a challenge. she's pretty nice overall as a person, but not a very good teacher.
you really have to study on your own alot she doesn't really teach much and she probably gives like the least homeowrk out of all the teachers at walnut there are things on tests that she didnt really go over
in honors, her notes are pretty good, but she puts things on the tests that she doesnt teach, that might be in the book, but she doesnt ever tell you to go through the book to review. her class is pretty chill, but her tests are hard. doesnt give a lot of homework. expect to have to learn on your own because you wont be able to get an A based on only her teaching.
She is a very nice person, and I think she knows her stuff. She probably just does not know how to teach. I ask her a lot of questions, that's how I know all my stuff:) so if you are going to get her, be prepared and do not be scared to speak up. Because that's probably the only way you'll get some help. (I LOVE HER NOTES)
had her for ap chem; she CAN teach..it's just that she is not organized...if you ask her for help, she can help you...
Great personality, bad teacher. The class is VERY fun and chill and she has a great sense of humor. Just make sure you read and study the textbook for the tests because her notes aren't very helpful.
she's not that bad.. make sure you study for her tests.. and she KNOWS what she's talking about... just ask her. :]
dude i love ms.braviroff shes the coolest chem honors teacher you will ever get.
I had her over the summer for Chemistry Honors, and we were constantly behind the other classes. She has a great personality and she really helps you understand the material, but she goes extremely SLOW and wastes a lot of time. She is pretty disorganized and had lost a few of our tests. Her tests are also pretty extreme: they're either really hard or really easy. She never seems to give us enough time on them though.
her class is so boring but is very chill study on your own! she's a nice person, but she can't teach
You can fall asleep during this class(honors). Just read the chapter the night before and youl be fine. the sections requiring math are super hard, she wants you to show ALL WORK-worse than math class
She is very chill. But super boring. If you fall asleep you'll miss out. You MUST STAY ALERT and pay attention otherwise you will fail all her tests. She has a strict policy about cheating too
She is REALLY bad. She just sits there on her computer and lets us read the book. I ended up with a B in her class that was once an A because I had to learn everything myself.
this teacher is bad. during summer school she would teach us for a bit and after she is done she would go and play solitaire while we work on homework that we did not know how to do.
She is a bad teacher. Chill tho. Take naps in her class, study well and do all the HW and you should be fine
Very chill and cool. Explains the major points that will be on the test. Yes, you will have to study yourself a little, but overall very good teacher.
take her!! She's knows chemistry!! everything she tells u in the lecture is important for the test! that's all!
a teacher who doest teach. Yea shes chill or whatever, but she doesnt teah n thats what she is suppose to do. So if you want a to learn and DO NOT WANT TO get a C in chemistry DONT TAKE HER!
she's not really bad as people say she is.she's pretty funny.although most of the time is lecturing, you can fall asleep or do hw.just be sure to read the book before tests,or you can ask her for help
she's nice and pretty chill. she barely checks the hw but when she does, it's very unexpected. do a good job on your binder and it ll help your grade. easy to sleep through class but you have to study
i dont like her teaching methods. i had to study all the time and it took up much of my lif. she is always loosing things too, she blames you if something goes missing.
I like her!!! She is cool and funny class time pass by fast. You do have to study and read up on your own. I really dont know why people say she cant teach.
she's pretty cool. It's very easy to tune out in her class and she goes pretty fast. You really gotta spend lots of time on learning this stuff or you're in trouble. tests hard, you can bs hw np.
Good job of teaching. Just expects you to put in a little bit of work. DO ALL YOUR HW as she sometimes randomly checks, and her tests are pretty difficult, but straight from the book/lecture.
She's not that hard if you pay attention. i jsut don't like her style of teaching. she should give overhead notes.
I honestly don't know why everyone complains about her, because I did just fine in her class. And she actually got up infront of the class and lectured every single day. She really isn't that bad.
i learn on my own there so its ok i just sleep in class or play calculator games or do math i don't even do the homework but i study by myself and if you dont you cant pass
laziest teacher i've ever had. she hangs with her computer longer than she does with the students.
shes such a cool teacher...but she has no idea how to teach.
her classes get too off topic. doesnt explain well. tests are too hard. everyone is like failing.
she's a realli nice and cool teacher... but is very forgetful... very smart teaher... if there's qusetion u dont understand definity ask her! she's always welling to help!
She used to play video games in class when I was there. Enough said... Don't expect to learn anything of use either, you'll be on your own.
She does a good job of teaching, but tends to focus on the math problems over the concept ones. As a result, it's quite difficult to have a comprehensive grasp of the material.
Ms. Braviroff seems like a great person but is an okay teacher. She has those moments where she is just there because its her job. Its a learn-on-your own class so beware.
I didn't learn anything in the class except how to play big 2 like a pro. Didn't teach our class anything and practically "gave" us free grades :)
I had her for Chem AP. She's nice and all, but she doesn't teach at all. She taught us things the day before the AP test. But it's a very laid-back class. Fun.
I had her for 2 yrs, and i DID learn a lot of chemistry, and she's really koo, but remember.. DO NOT GIVE HER YOUR RECOMMENDATION LETTERS, she'll lose them
She's a really nice person, although half the time, she just spouts lecture. Stay awake and you'll learn something. The woman's a saint.
Laid back class, you can find loopholes and not do the homework. Can't teach for jack, and you are screwed when it comes to test time.
The only complaint I have about Ms. Braviroff is that she isn't very responsible. DO NOT GIVE HER YOUR RECOMMEDATION LETTERS TO DO! She'll lose them.
the coolest teacher mostly cuz she's laidback and doesn't do much...but she's cool...
Kinda lazy...just lectures and then leaves you alone...if you're an independ worker like myself you'll like her...if not go for someone else. She's pretty cool though.
she COULD be a good teacher if she wanted to, but she's lazy. cool person.
cool person, doesn't really teach. if willing to work by yourself=easy A
