One of the best computer science teachers I've had. After three years studying under him I went from being clever but not really knowing much about how computers work to really understanding how and why software works the way it does. This was back in the 90s when C++ was the language of choice, and his attention to detail was monumentally helpful with things like memory management and data structures. I was a fairly quick study and he took the time to push me further than the courses required.
graduated a while ago... overall, a fair and solid teacher (though he didn't like me very much). helped build my foundation in comp sci... which got me through MIT and to my current position at IBM Research.
Possibly the BEST programming teacher I've ever had. He conducted his classroom like a buisiness - very orderly. I learned not just JAVA, but how to think also.
He's smart, no doubt, but can be unreasonable. He's very hard and expects alot.
I've graduated Springbrook already, and Mr. Haber is still one of the best teachers I've ever had. He's always fair and willing to help.
challenging, but will make you into a good programmer. he's a good programmer and shares his experience with his students. smart
Mr. Haber's class is challenging, but you can be confident that you are really learning something (even if your grade isn't as high as you would like it to be).
Personally, i think this teacher isn't a good teacher. He doesnt explain things well at all. His logic is skewed. He makes fun of his students alot.
He's great but not easy at all, but his grades count for something.
Big H, is an awesome teacher! He helps people through this course.
Mr. Haber may not be cool, or funny for that matter, but he is a great teacher and I must say I learned a lot
A tough A to earn, but you will ace the AP test even with a C from him. Top notch at making tough concepts understandable. Fair grader.
Kinda annoying and downright rude at times. His grading system is set up so it's impossible to get an 'A'! Very unclear in emphasising major points about programs, you often find out how programs should work after he takes off points for it not working!
