Truly the most disrespectful teacher I have ever had. He doesn't understand how to treat his students respectfully. I have seen many kids come out of his class crying because he is so ignorant towards us. We hardly ever do anything significant during class because he spends the entire time yelling at us. Most of the work for that class is done at home.
He is a baller but can be very strict and probably the hardest teacher ive ever had.
JP was an incredibly difficult teacher to get along with, but was also extremely talented at his job. You learned a lot from his class and became a much better writer, but had to go through his erratic and sometimes cruel behavior to get there.
Great, challenging teacher. Will prepare you for success if you do the work!
JP was the best teacher I ever had...over 20 years ago. Got him twice. He was hard and expected a lot..but prepared me for college. He could be your worste nightmare..but you were expected to LEARN!
i am not a fan of jp. he is funny in class but isnt very helpful or clear about homework assignments
Looking back on my High School years. I can honestly say that he is one of the most memorable. The principles that he taught are still with me. He has had an enormous empact on my life.
He knows what he teaches but doesn't tell his classes what to do. He just expects it from them.
he can be mean, he can be nice (if your on cross country or track that is) but overall i find that he freaks out alot..... and zen, whats the point. and also very unhelpful
biggest ego ever. Can teach, but he preaches being a good person and doesnt show it. Not to mention he is a weird. Who lives at a school? JP.
If you're willing to get past his "reputation" and extreme intensity, you will learn so much. He's a great teacher underneath the rough exterior, just be respectful, work hard, and listen.
He is the coolest. I learned so many things from him, and he is just so nice and kind that he is like my grandpa. How can anyone not love the guy!!!!!!!!!!!!
he has his followers, but hes quite possibly the most overrated teacher of all time. posters featuring mediocre musicians and bizarre journal topics dont make you a good teacher.
Loved him - great guy, great coach, great taste in music.
JP is an excellent teacher. No matter how hard someone tries to not learn in his class it will happen. I am now a better person for taking his class. Thank You JP!!
JP is a great teacher, coach, and person. He is very hard, but it helps the students to excel to a new level of education.
well hes extremely hard but im glad to be in his class. hes a good teacher if your up for a challenge.
JP is not your average teacher. Get that down fast. I work hard in his class, but I'm learning a lot. He has always made time for me when I needed extra help.
I hated JP in high school. Now I believe he is the best I ever had at KHS. Prepared me for college. Still, the merlin stuff was odd
This man uses intimidation in his classroom. What kind of a learning environment does that promote? He knows his material, but does that matter when he intimida
don't have him as a teacher, but know that he's a very motivated person who wants everyone to get the job done well. can't wait till i'm in his class next year
Tough teachers are good teachers...they make you think. It's the whole purpose of why they are there. JP has inspired a lot of students to think and learn.
"Dude...be still". That's my advice to you. Don't freak out so much! Some stuff is really not worth having a stroke over.... deep breaths.
Too much work - we do have lives at KHS. I really dont feel I have improved much as a student.
I complained about his class the entire year, but I look back, and I learned so much about English and about life. He is a good teacher.
JP is really hard, but if you can get into it and hang on, you'll learn sooo much.
I had JP about 10 years ago and he was the best teacher and coach I have ever had. Those that don't like him don't get IT.
I love JP! I had him twice and loved his class each time. Sure, he may be a little tough, but think of all the things you learned in his class.
