I had her 13-14 jr year. Very nice lady but she should be teaching kindergarten instead of high school. Terrible at addressing the class but very good for one-on-one help. Despite what you hear DO THE HW even though she doesn't check it every time. She picks random times to collect it and gets mad if you don't have it. Also, 'pumpkin', ask for help if you're struggling since you basically have to teach yourself from the book because you'll never know when there will be a 'surprise quizzie-poo'
I don't understand what others are complaining about. One of the best math teaches I ever had. I learned a lot in her class.
Joanne is a very nice loving lady but does not know how to teach. She constantly gets off topic by talking about minions and other stuff not math related. She usually just sits on her computer for most of the class while we do problems. She makes kids fill up her water at the beginning of class and treats high school students like kindergarteners. She is a great person but as a teacher not helpful at all so hope you don't get her.
She gives so much homework on stuff that we never even learned and we are forced to teach ourselves. She is strict and everything has to go her way. She only teachers to ONE learning style and does not respect personal space at all. I feel so uncomfortable in her class. She is always late by 10+ minutes and keeps us after the bell so I'm often late to next classes. Her tests are ridiculous and rarely relevant. We don't learn anything, we watch YouTube videos.254
She is incredibly frustrating to work with. She assigns insane amounts of homework but refuses to go over it in class. Her tests often include material that she has not taught us. She is constantly showing up late, and not just 5 minutes late, sometimes 30-40 minutes late. When she is actually in class she wastes lots of time. She has mood swings and often yells at us for things that have nothing to do with us. She calls on certain students excessively and ignores others. I cannot handle her.
nice as a person but a horrible teacher-thinks all u worry about is her class, very vague, and needs everything to be done her way or she will flip out. very annoying and has horrible moodswings
Can REALLY teach. Loves math and loves students. Best math teacher I ever had. She's really smart and really nice.
Best ever. Cares about you. Will tell some stories but gets right back to the lesson. Tough tests. Great person.
She is the best. She explains everything really well. Treats us all with respect. Love her. She's hard but great.
mixed emotions.....thinks students have nothing more to do with their lives than worry about her class. it's awesome when she gets off track and we do nothing the entire period though (this happens often)..
she was the best math teacher! i really liked how she made math fun. she was also willing to help a lot so i could really understand what i was doing.
Has no ability to control a room full of students, and no ability to teach simplistic Geometric theorems or simple Business Math.. Thinks highly of self.
