Rodino is one of the WORST teachers at Fremd. He tells the kids and parents how available he is for help outside of class but when you actually go in he doesn't help at all. Instead, he gets annoyed that you didn't understand the material and acts like you're bothering him. He is especially condescending to kids he doesn't favor and likes to embarrass them in front of others. He may know physics but he can't teach it.

I think he is Very demeaning to students and does not give answers to questions clearly. He grades really strictly. He does pick favorites and the people he doesn't like, he treats them badly often.

He's very self absorbed and doesn't give much help rather than just insult the person who is trying to improve.

The good - Knows his physics and knows how to teach it.
The bad - Impossible to work with. I always came in for help outside of school, and he seemed far more interested in insulting me than actually making sure I understood the material. This got so bad that I took asking other physics teachers for help to avoid talking to him. He's fine unless you go one on one with him, but when you do you understand the complaints. Insulting and uncomfortable experience overall.

Joe Rodino is definitely my favorite teacher of all time, even though I got a B in Physics with him. The class itself is tough and will be tough with any teacher you have (I had first semester with F

JoRo! As much as I hate physics, I actually looked forward to his class. It may have been difficult but it was fun. He makes a lot of jokes and plays favorites, but he picks on his favorites.

I looked forward to coming to his class everyday. It was not uncommon to have tears in my eyes from laughing so hard. If you're mature enough to laugh at yourself and go with his jokes, youll have fun

He will often take the slightest transgression and exaggerate it into an instance of "disrespect". He also is known to interpret misunderstanding of a difficult subject as insubordination or apathy

Mr. Rodino is probably the funniest teacher I've ever had. Contrary to what many people have said, he IS a good teacher. You need to put in enough time outside of the classroom.

Ok, Rodino is pretty self absorbed and tends to compliment himself alot, hiding insecurities? But he really wasn't that clear of a teacher so it made learning AP physics impossibl
