Unfortunately, Mr Volpi has retired at this point. That being said, AP US History was a challenging course since I haven't taken an AP class before. However, Mr. Volpi always found a way to make classtime light hearted and informative. He is very knowledgeable about this subject and has a lot of experience with teaching students for the AP exam. I thought I was gonna get a C in his class at first, but after good habits and talking to him after class I got an A and a 5 on my AP exam! recommended!
I <3 Volpi
HANDS DOWN BEST TEACHER EVA
IF YOU HAVE HIM, CONSIDER YOURSELF LUCKY
Without a doubt the most humble and friendly teacher at the school. He's the type of person that is full of cool facts and lessons but won't force you to learn if you aren't willing to...if you want to learn, you'll learn from the coolest ol guy eva!
I had him for honors, so the students were terribly rude, but he was very patient. You could ask questions and he'd explain it however many ways till you understood. The smartest person I've ever met hands down. Awesome teacher and caring person!
I had him for AP US history. Overall great guy would be bros with, very knowledgeable and rather funny, Has a style to him that i won't forget anytime soon. Easy class if you pay attention, all i did was listen or sleep and got out with an A. 10/10
He is one of the best teachers ever. He comes from the South, and he sure knows Southern hospitality. His class is really great and he's a fun teacher.
Probably my all time favorite teacher! Had him in 91/92 at Shiloh high. Mr. Volpi is/was an intellectual! Made class and learning very interesting. He is was of those rare teachers you never forget! Thx Mr. Volpi!
I love Mr. Volpi! By far my favorite teacher, he seemed like a grandpa to me. I often found myself coming in early to see him and going to his class during my lunch/advisement, he has an adorable/really funny personality and a seemingly endless pool of facts. He made us all laugh with his quirky information about presidents and historical events. Very lovable and memorable teacher! I had him last year!
He's a really chill teacher and a cool person! He does get off track a lot during class discussions but I learned a ton from him this year. Basically if you treat him with respect he'll do the same back :) Probably my favorite teacher of all time! His class (besides the AP exam aspect) is a no-stress class! Wish I could have him again!
I don't really like his style of teaching because I don't learn much but I love him as a person!
I graduated several years ago, but still help Volpi out with Scholar's Bowl Tournements. So I definitely think he's a great guy.
MAN WAIT TILL YA SEE THE GORILLA SLIDES. HA .. all you do is color and take the hardest tests of ur life.
maybe he was differnt in past years but he has taught me a lot this year. He's funny too. We mostly have discussions. Its great he's awesome.
hard class... sighs... failed a few tests here, he doesnt explain things well... and all we do is color maps... he is awesome guy though
i have to agree with geography being the biggest waste of my time. all we did was color and label maps. but as a person mr.v is the man.
Map coloring 101 was prolly the biggest waste of my time... he's a nice enough guy (sometimes)but wow he sucks at teaching geography
Hey, it was an easy A, and bumbed up ya'lls GPA, don't complain
um, when coloring a map is worth as much points at getting an A on a test...why even take the tests?
Coloring 101-(hot to get an "a")color the maps in the commons in the morning, do the current event while he speaks jibberish b4 they r due, and sleep.
He is a pretty cool guy, i think, but he cant teach for junk.
the only thing i learned in this class was..hmm..well..ok nevermind.
Just keep turning in the same current events and/ or write an essay on how he never reads the current events
the only things i learned: how to color and how to bs papers (very helpful, though)
