Mr. Cabiati was one of my favorite teachers of all time and not because he was easy, but because he made you really think and he had great stories. One of the few teachers I remember well from high school!
One of the best teachers ever, had him for English (8th & 9th grade), Grad in 78 and he is one of only a couple teachers I actually remember...that speaks volumes!! He had just moved to VA from teaching a couple years in NYC if i remember correctly, glad to see he is still teaching and still pretty well liked!!
I really enjoy Mr. Cabiati's class. He is one of those people who's passion is history and loves to talk about it, but not just like any other teacher. He talks about history like it's a story. Sometimes I feel like he gets frustrated with our class, because many of us don't pay attention enough to answer his questions. He tries to encourage our participation, even allowing us to surf online to find the answers--- anything to make history interesting for us.
Mr. Cabiati is the most amazing teacher I've ever had. He's probably the most knowledgeable person in history and should really be teaching at a college level rather than high school - he's that amaz
1982 Graduate......cab is the best and to the guy that slept through class and got an A....He probably wanted you gone so he wouldn't see you the next year....Famous quote of "Cab" "The Lake Braddock
i did nothing in his class. literally slept through it every day but still managed to get an A. hes funny and all but i didnt feel like he did much of teaching. he just sits in front of the class and
i'll never forget the early morning classes with Mr. Cabiati. Truly one of the best teachers at LB. He would literally talk about anything! Argue with him during class and he will like you.
He is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He knows so much and is very helpful when you ask questions.
Mr. Cabs has an ocean of knowledge about EVERYTHING...and memory like an elephant. if you pass advance on SOL, 5 on exam, A in class, he will write you the SICKEST college rec. EVER!
Had JC in 1980. Hard to believe he is still there. He was articulate, and expected the best from his students. He took no BS in class, and had no problem letting us know who was in charge.
He tends to talk about a lot of things but all at once. He's a cool teacher though and knows a lot of stuff that he can help you with.
Mr. Cabiati is a treasure. Cherish every word that comes out of his mouth.
One of my favorite teachers in my LB experience. Mr. Cabiatti cared more about us learning than us getting a good score on any test or report card.
Mr. Cabiati has got to be the funniest teacher at LB.He knows a TON about history, and he can just talk about it for hours and hours on end...which he generally tends to do in class.
He's a cool guy but you have to read to do well on the AP exam. His teaching methods are by analyzing the chapter, not informing the student of the information. He dosen't do ppts, lectures, ect.
Basically he does not teach anything and you have to read the book to even pass. He talks about random things but his class is pretty easy. I think im going to fail the AP exam.
Best teacher at LB, easily. Even when he's on a tangent, he manages to incorporate what he's talking about into the class material. Also, he's really chill and funny. You'll do fine if you read!
Cabs is the man! He can get off topic sometimes, but he always seems to relate things to what you're learning. Read the book, pay attention in class, and do the work, and you should be fine.
An amazing class. Cabiati practically knows everything. The class is easy, but you won't pass the exam unless you actually do the reading. Don't fall asleep in the class, he's so interestingtolistento
Cabs knows everything because he was there! Awesome to the max. Better than Chuck Norris and Darth Vader combined.
he is a GREAT teacher!!! I like him he knoz wut he's talkin bout n knoz ALOT bout it. one of the BEST teachers...
He is a really cool teacher The things he talks about are really interesting, and I learned a lot. As long as you're willing to do outside studying, you'll pass the AP exam easily.
I had John Cabiati way back in the day. He spent many hours talking... that's all I remember. We would start a topic to get him going. WHen he got moving.. he didn't stop. Great guy who knows too much
Mr. Cab is the coolets US VA teacher =D lol even tho he hates me but yea.. very cool and very easy.. swwitch to his classs =]
Mr. Cabiati is the most intelligent teacher ive ever had in history at LBSS and i love his class...he kinda doesnt take attendance most of the time.
Such a GOOD teacher layed back but at the same time you pass every test given in that class--- never have homework!!!
Probably the smartest person I know. It's too bad he doesn't use his super powers for good instead of evil.
the easiest teacher ever........plus he doesn take attendence
I LOVE CABS! HE IS POSSIBLY THE SMARTEST MAN I HAVE EVER MET!
I had Mr. Cabiati for 9th grade World Cultures in 1985. He was one of the most engaging teachers I ever had.
a funny guy, but another ap teacher will help you preparre for the ap test better
You could easily get an A in his class. He doesn't really give any work, just random DBQ's and open-book tests. BUT IF YOU DON'T READ ON YOUR OWN, YOU WILL FAIL THE AP TEST!!!
I'm 33 now and remember Cabiati as the teacher who got us government service brats to understand the shortcomings of the big operation inside the Beltline.
Cabiati was one of those teachers that you look up to in highschool. He was, in retrospect, often wrong, but he hid that in a fog of infallibility...1986.
He was awesome. He really understood the material, and let you learn at your own pace. I got an A in his class and a 5 on the AP exam. Best teacher ever!
Cabiati, you are AWESOME!!! 5th period was the greatest, and I even got to sleep through it last year next to Morgan:)
Mr. Cabiati was one of the best teachers I've ever had, and I'm almost done with college. He is such an interesting teacher and he's really funny!
He was a great guy! Fun classes. very college oriented approach to the class, you have to motivate yourself, but it made the class much less stressful!
Not a stressful class. Loved it. He made history into stories as if they happened yesterday, with details that high schoolers like to hear. Great class!
laid back, wise sense of humor, knows alot of interesting facts. hope you get him
One of my favorite teachers. Hilarious guy, easy to talk to. I didn't do much during the year but still got an A and a 3 on the test.
Knows his stuff. Funny, too. Not for the uptight grade-monger
