Although, as people have mentioned before, his lectures are rather dry and require focus apparently beyond that of an average high schooler, Mr. Heyes is, in all honesty, a phenomenal teacher with a prodigious knowledge not only of the material covered in class, but also literature in general. If you have any interest in english whatsoever, you will enjoy this class, but be mindful of the fact that his lectures do progress at a slower speed than most teachers'.

Lectures can be really boring sometimes.... he never speaks a full sentence at a time, only parts of sentences, the pauses to think through his thoughts again. However, he's really helpful if you ask him a question and is overall a really great teacher. Easiest, most relaxed English class I've had so far this year.

I LOVE MR. HEYES he is an adorable, eloquent, and Santa-esque grandpa teacher. His voice is great on a Wednesday morning long block period. I can't count the number of times I've fallen asleep with my head against the wall, and woken up pretending I'd been very alert the entire time. He has a habit of pausing in the middle of a sentence to think his words through, which can help students fall asleep even more easily. Great teacher.

He was a good teacher, but he didn't push me very hard, and I had a tough time the following year.
