He's actually my best friend ever
I had Mr. Radosta for freshman English. I honestly think he's an amazing guy, who knows SO much about literature. If you don't pay attention, and if you don't take notes, you won't succeed. If you don't do what you're supposed to do, you won't succeed. Do what he tells you to do, and you'll do fine in his class. Take advantage of any opportunities given to you.
MHS class of 03. I took his class, Freshman English, in 1999. He was known as a strict grader then as well. His class has benefitted me throughout my entire life, through college and into my career. Only class that mattered in the real world.
I believe he is an intelligent man with alot to offer. He knows his material and is dedicated to his job. One issue I have with him is he doesn not know how to connect with the students. He gives Fs without hesitation and makes students feel beneath of what they are capable of. If a student ever contributes an opinion, he scraps it away entirely and waits for someone to give his answer. he would be a perfect middle school teacher, preparing kids to write essay so theyll be prepared for the futur
Don't believe the rumors about him! Everyone who says bad things about him were the ones who never actually read the books and didn't want to work hard for their grade. He alows you to do rewrites of every essay, no limit and you can correct tests to bring your grades up. He spent so much time on books to make sure we were always 100% comfortable with it.
Don't listen to all the bad rumors about him. His class is really easy and fun if you go in for writing conferences, listen and follow instructions. He's a good guy and cares a lot about his students. My writing skills got so much better in his class. I'm happy I had him.
It's simple: if you follow directions, you will do wonderfully in his class. The only people who hate him are the ones who can't read instructions. He is one of the smartest men I've ever met. Listen to everything he says.
There are very few teachers who are genuinely passionate about teaching. Mr. R is one of those rare ones.
Mr. Radosta is my favorite teacher. He challenges me at an appropriate level and makes me feel smart in the classroom. He provided many chances to gain back lost points on tests and essays.
I was in his class in 09. Mr. R is an amazing, knowledgeable teacher. I LOVED his literary discussions. He made them fun! A very kind, helpful, and respectful teacher.
He's a great teacher. He's actaully one of few many english teachers that i had that actaully sounded like a real english teacher. His class discussions are great and he is always willing to help.
One word: ego. He, sometimes, can act arrogant. Needs to be more humble. Otherwise, I liked him. His class was enjoyable (when we discussed literature, not grammar!) and he was a nice guy, usually.
I had him in 09- 2010. Mr. R underestimates freshmen with phrases such as "you're not old enough to understand.." You NEVER tell a kid that, and this statement is not always true either. Otherwise, good teacher. The thing I g
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times...
He is a good guy and gives you a lot of chances for make up work. He tought me a lot this year! love you
Mr. Radosta came very close to being my favorite teacher. I have to admit that he is a great teacher, but he is also biased. Incredibly. And, also shows it.
People only hate Radosta because they do poorly in his class. There is no reason for his teaching stylre to negatively affect you unless YOU have some sort of self esteem problem and can't handle criticism.
I learned a lot, but a D doesnt help my college transcript...
i think that hes wayy too hard. he grades very unfairly but he does give you chances to make up the work
Totally arrogant, I've become pretty used to his antics. He knows that he is polarizing, he knows that people think that he's too hard, and he tries to use this as part of his image. Difficult, not impossible, disrespectful.
He explains very well what he wants, and he always stays on topic. People just get confused because he gives them a poor grade when they don't follow directions.
Has real issues with explaining what he wants from the students, very egotistical, wastes lots of time explaining unimportant details, needs to stay on topic.
Once you get out of hs you realize that the teaching style he uses is over-simplified, boring and redundant. Great in sophomore English, put a complete failure if you ever expect to actually get good grades in college.
I absolutely love J.Rad. Even though it doesn't seem I've learned a lot, I have. Thanks Mr. Radosta.
Mr. Radosta is an excellent english teacher. While very intimidating, he teaches new freshmen what is going to be expected of them and what they should expect from themselves.
He makes me HATE English class. He doesn't like how we write unless it says EXACTLY what he wants to see, and we can't do that because he doesn't clearly explain what he wants.
He is a fairly good teacher. He knows what he is doing unlike nearly half of the staff... He can be a little egotistical at times, but overall he is a great teacher.
j-rad is one of the best teachers i have ever had. he is quite brilliant, yeah sometimes he puts down ppl but if u want to get by in life then u better get used to it. he can teach
OMG! JRAD is the BESSST!!!!LOVE the class! I have learned sooooo much this year! I was so scared at first, but he is the BEST! 08
ok, i heard from alot of people that i would probably get my first C in his class, but i was never told that straight A students would get thier first D in his class!!!
Just cause he gave you your first C doesn't mean he is bad. Be glad you had him because he will be the reason you know how to write after Milton High.
i had so much fun in j rads class u have to just enjoy the opportunities to argue (as long as u kno what ure talkin about) i learned so much from him
I, just like any other, hated him when I had him, but once you've left his class you realize that he actually taught you to write well and you're gladyouhadhim.
it was the best of times...it was the worst of times
I don't know what u guys are talking about.... I'm a junior at harvard now and I had this guy as a freshman...let me tell you... he is a horrible stuck-up teach!
You can't fairly rate him until you are out of his class. He is the BEST! Too bad they won't let him do his beginning of the year scare for frosh anymore though
He class was hard and i didn;t do particularly well but i learned the basics of how to write an essay from him and on top of that...he is a funny man
He's one of those teachers who'll explain something a million times until you understand it. His class is hard but I've learned so much from it.
He knows and enjoys what he's teaching, is strict, but we have good times in his class because it's small, and I've learned soo much in his class this year.
Never had him for English, if I did I'd hate him but as a Creative Writing teacher he's the best.
He is the most corrupt person alive, he only allows 15 mins. for some quizzes when in the handbook it says at least half the class should be allotted for a quiz
The class depends on how much effort you put into it. He's very hard and i don't necessarily like him, but he's one of the best teachers i've ever had. The directions he gives are very straight forward and helpful. Hes always available for extra help.
Im now a freshman in college, and i can honestly say that Mr Radosta was the best english teacher i have ever had. He is, obviously, not an easy teacher, but he is one of the best teachers at MHS. He is a great person that you can learn a lot from.
A great teacher but u really have to work hard for him
He is very hard, but if you try hard enough, you can do well, and he is a good teacher.
Mr. Radosta is one of the best teachers in the school. He is very smart and he is one of the few teachers who actually knows what he is teaching. Anyone who says he is bad are the students who don't try hard or who don't care about their grade.
True he is hard but you learn very much throughout his course.
