Traina is a very knowledgeable, passionate, and kind teacher. However, in class he often goes off onto the length explanations of the material, using a lot of jargon that can make it difficult to comprehend the material. The exams are very difficult for those that focus on the more broad concepts. That said if you go up to him after class or during a study session he will do his best to explain the concepts (still very repetitive). Also, he has a thing for birds. Go Traina!

He's the best. He absolutely loves Biology and he's got enough passion to instill it in everyone in the class. What an absolute baller.

He is SOOO passionate about Biology. He really knows his stuff and is helpful to a certain extent (he may be repetitive). Although by the end of the period class may be boring, I love having him as a teacher, he makes me actually care about biology.

I had Traina for MSI, and, quite frankly, he was the worst teacher I had at IMSA. His heart was in the right place, I promise you. However, no matter how many times you asked for clarity, he always repeated the same things over and over; heck, I can recite from memory what standard deviation and standard error definitions from memory, but still don't fully understand what they mean. Again, his heart is in the right place, but, for me, he didn't really TEACH me anything.

He's an awesome teacher (although stubborn at times) and gives very interesting lectures. His tests seem to destroy the students because they are very detail-oriented. My advice:take lots of notes.

I'm amazed at how much he still enjoys teaching despite how long he's been doing it. Very nice guy.

He's a really cool teacher, and I like his passion for Biology, but he talks a LOT; everyone is right. But it's worth it if you take his EBE class.
