Well,Mr. Anderson really helped me throughout the year, especially with writing and he became one of my favorite teachers. In my opinion, he doesn't play favorites, he only knows those who try to participate in the class(big plus). I spent 3 days just talking to him about a thesis statement and when I had received the grade for it, I had gotten a 4, which was well worth spending the time. Participation and work is key to succeeding in my class. Went from a D on my first essay to As and high Bs.
So going into High School, I knew i had the hardest english teacher. However, after a few short weeks of his class I knew I was going to learn a lot. Without taking this class I would have done horrible in my next 3 english classes. Yes he's weird, yes he talks about his son too much and yes he's just really weird, but you learn to like it. If you don't get on his good side from day one (literally just respect him and do your homework and you're good) then you'll have a rough year.
Looking back at my year in Mr. Anderson, I can strongly define him as a good TEACHER. His attitude toward the students may be douchey (and treat you like a child) but his fundamentals in English DEFINITELY help with later years (especially for AP English Classes). He does play favorites, but realize he genuinely cares about English, so attempt to too. Being strict, he has embebed a habit to achieve perfection and has helped me succeed in understanding expectations and how to achieve them.
Knowlegable, but plays favorites.
he's actually a really cool guy just get to know him
I graduated in '11 had him my fresh year for honors.I stumbled upon this and had to clarify some things.Yes,he's tough but he treats you like an adult.Your expected to get work done and turned in by a set date. And typically your not given"half credit"for late work like your babies. He prepares you for the real world.students who say otherwise are lacking self discipline.friends and I were all APA students and he LOVED us!He's a fantastic teacher. Get passed being t0 C0oL 4 Sk0Ol and love it.
I LOVE MR. ANDERSON. HE IS SO NICE AND HONESTLY HE LOOKS OUT FOR HIA KIDS. JUST DO YOUR WORK :)
He's an alright teacher, but I wish that he wasn't such a harsh grader.
I would start praying you don't get Mr. Anderson now. You hear way more about Nathan the soccer star and all the girls that like him at school than you should. He assigns way to much homework to the point where you get lucky if you get six hours of sleep at night. And when you read great expectations be prepared to have absolutely no life with nine chapters to read a night. I would suggest either dropping honors english or switch to a different teacher if you get him. It's so not worth it.
I heard that he played favorites and was really rude at times so I was scared to join the class. He is the best teacher I've ever had and I've learned so much. He is one of the nicest people on campus. 5 stars
I had Mr. Anderson Freshman year for Honors English. He is really good at heart, but can appear ignorant and he definitely plays favorites. If you actually pay attention and try to care, you will most likely do fine. He just does not appreciate those who do not care. I wasn't a favorite, but you can't blame a poor grade on a teacher when you don't put in the effort. You learn ALOT. He knows his stuff.
Anderson picks favorites. Although he seems to be knowledgable, he is extremely unapproachable and unwilling to listen to a student's side of advice. Very big-headed.
All i can say, is that Mr. Anderson can seem like a horrible person at times, but he is a great teacher and although he definitely plays favorites and is super hard, you learn a ton in his class.
he's extremely helpful and he sets you up for cruising through sophomore year english honors 2. with that being said, he's a rude, contemptuous man who definitely plays favorites. if you're not on the
he definitely plays favourites. if you are his favourite, he will find reasons to overlook discrepancies in your writing. he is quite picky about essays but if you can endure it, you'll improve some.
Plays favorites but does help you out with your grade if you are on the borderline. He def. knows his stuff and is very helpful, all you gotta do is ask.
He plays favorites, so if he likes you, you will ALWAYS get the benefit of the doubt. Despite the vigor of his class and his sometimes passionate behavior, he truly is good at heart. I learned a lot.
Anderson either likes or hates you. He plays favorites. He is direct about HW assignments but doesn't even grades his own essays. Then when he does grade the work it grades based on who his favs are.
He is a good english teacher; he improved my writing so much. But he is an awful tennis coach..
He is not a good teacher at all, he kisses up to the administration and follows the rules too closely. NEVER take his class unless you are willing to kiss up to him and his way of teacher. Not an appr
he's very strict and thats why lots of people "hate" him, but he is really a GREAT teacher and helped me so much
All around he was the hardest english teacher i have had through high school honors english. To me, it seems he has grudges against siblings, and other kids can prove this to be true.
Mr. Anderson was an awesome teacher and guy. Sometimes he was a bit strict but I actually learned in his class and had fun. Wish I still had teachers like him...
Mr. Anderson is a great teacher. He's a hard one but you learn alot from him. You'll also appreciate how he uses his own time to grade everybody's poetry notebooks or essays and even give chances to proofread you essays before you turn them in. He's Great
Mr. Anderson was the best English teacher I ever had in high school. He really goes out of his way to help his students. I still talked to him and asked him for help as a senior and he was happy to do it. Very cool teacher.
He goes out of his way to do extra things to help his current, and former students. His classes are easy to follow, and in general he is fun to be around.
