Oh my goodness... Ms. Yamamoto. One of the most difficult teachers I encountered at Leland. But 24 years later I must say that the basics that she taught have enabled me to go extremely far in the world of science. It wasn't until I was halfway through my PhD in engineering that I realized how good she was. Those quizzes were hard. The extra credit kept me up many hours. But thank you.

One of the best teachers I had. It was hard work to get an A grade and Mrs. Yamamoto made it enjoyable. She made it very clear if you work hard, pay attention, and give it your best you could do well. I took her advice and did well. This was 25 years ago and I still remember the positive experience. I thought of Mrs. Yamamoto today because we have a client in our office today who is a Yamamoto. Not sure if they are related! :)

Man, does she have the "Hard" reputation! I had her 20 years ago and she was SUPER hard! But I loved her and I learned a lot. Thank you, Mrs. Yamamoto. I'm a teacher now, too!!

She seems nice, but she doesn't seem to want to really help her students. She can't fully dedicate herself to allowing students to fully understand the lessons that she teaches. She teaches very fast

For MAH, she's a brilliant teacher. Torques and stuff were kind of hard, but not really because of her skills, but ours I guess. REALLY prepares you for calc BC well.

She really does play on favorites. If she didn't, I'd have a 112% in MAH right now. I have a 104% because she has been continuously taken off pts for me. I just got a -1 on my quiz

As others have said, top students in her class do the teaching. I took MAH with her 4-5 years ago, and learned nothing. She prepares you poorly for calculus.

Miss Yamamoto is absolutely the best for Algebra 3,4. However, for MAH, she could have been better for Vectors and torques and angular velocity. Overall, she is one of the nicest and most understanding. Thanks!!!

mrs. yamamoto was pretty good for algebra 2 since that was fairly easy, but when it comes to MAH she tends to forget how to teach what we're learning and has to consult TAs for help. she plays favorites way too much
