she improved my writing SO much. very blunt and honest. i remember the first grade she gave me on my essay was a D+. comments were like: "WHAT IS THIS?" "BS" "NO" but they all paid off in the end. if you put a little effort in the class you'll easily get a B. A's are alot harder to get.
i loved having judy for ninth grade english. she is truly hilarious and i am so sad she is retiring because i never got to tell her how much i liked her.
the toughest part of her class is writing impressive essays, and she gives out a crapload of hw, but you learn to deal with it because she's a wonderful teacher. she might seem strict but deep down shes really a sweet old lady with occasional insulting jokes that crack everyone up. and if one ever does well enough to impress her, the praise she gives makes that person feel extremely confident. all in all, its a shame shes retiring this year, b/c she has changed a lot of student's lives, and i'll miss her.
I didn't like her, after the first few weeks she would favor the students who were the best writers and ignore the rest of us. She didn't even bother to learn all of our names throughout the semester. The class itself really isn't that difficult, you just need to spend time studying for tests & preparing for essays. She grades essays pretty hard, you can't just write all this fluff like before and expect a good grade. You just need to build up the motivation to do well yourself, because she won't help.
That class was hard but she is a great teacher. I liked her a lot, and she taught me a lot about writing. If you do the work and listen to what she says, you'll pass.
Fairly overrated, the truth is she's rather lackluster, doesn't really motivate her students to enjoy writing, easiest way is to sparknote everything and ace all the scantron tests cuz they're easy
The best teacher I have ever had. I love her! She's pretty much the nicest woman and the funniest teacher alive. She helped me so much with my essays
So awesome I took her for another round in Literary Analysis! Great writer, great teacher, great person.
Mrs. Freeds class may be one of the hardest you take but it is well worth it. Mrs Freed has reinvented me as a writer and i am forever greatful. While you may hate life during her class life is so much easier afterwards.
wow mrs freed is the best english teacher alive, period. you wont get an a in her class unless youre smart. trust me. i mean really smart. anyway she will drill the energy out of you until you are a better writer. i love her humor and her!
When she expects a lot out of you, you really become a hard worker...so you become a better writer and stuff. and she's pretty funny too.
Honors Brit Lit was hella hard but I definitely became a better writer under pressure!
No doubt Freed is hands down THE BEST english teacher I ever had. She expects a lot from her Honors students but we ALL came out better writers with her help.
Espects too much out everyone.... I dont think she should teach highschool.... Definetly would make a good college proffessor. over loads work for honor class.
i learned so much from her class and improved greatly but she expects a whole lot from her students and is very strict.
i must say her class ins't the easiest class in the world, but when one "weeps for it" you can learn a GREAT deal of writing from this teacher.
easily the best teacher at ihs.it will be a sad day when she leaves (2008 or 2009 i believe)every student that comes out of her class is a better writer
taught me the most, awesome teacher, the best at IHS, trust me
Freed is cool. But she contradicts herself a lot. That's okay because I'm done with her!! Yay!!!
Mrs. Freed is awesome! I learned so much and had a great time.
