Dr. Gauen was my teacher for many years before becoming a principal. She is a well educated, knowledgeable woman who takes education seriously and does not slack off, and she expects the same from her students. Many students dislike being told what to do, and Dr. Gauen expects a lot from her students. She helped me become a confident writer and encouraged me when I was interested in becoming a teacher.
She harasses me and my friends all the time. She talks to us like we don't have a right to even breathe. This woman makes our high school experience horrible. I was excited to start high school and now I just wish I could move!
Very fake and treats you like you're two. It's her way or no way
I was only able to get an A due to my own studies and was almost never helped by THE DOCTOR
Overwhelming with the stickers. Honors English II was easier than HEI. She switches curriculum around a lot so it can be a tad hard to keep everything straight. She's also not good at reminding you wh
I thought she was a fine teacher. And for those students who are complaining about the difficulty, remember that honors English isn't supposed to be easy! If you can't handle it, drop out of honors :p
Really knows her stuff, but the stickers can get a little annoying occasionally. And by the way, she earned the right to be called Dr. Gauen.
will teach you a lot in writing, but not very helpful, clear and has issues with stickers
When I took freshman composition at college, and I had the only A on the first essay, I realized how good Gauen is.
The best teacher I have ever had. She is a tough grader on papers, but her teaching skills have taught me to write well. Take her class, you won’t regret it!
