Has really interesting insights and thoughts about history. Definitely knows a lot about history.
She definitely plays favorites. Don't expect to get any helpful feedback on your papers, either. She'll give you like an 85, with no explanation as to why you lost 15 points. She's not difficult, though, and she's nice enough, just not a great teacher.
She was so helpful to me and really nice. She new what she was talkinga bout alway and was always avaiable to go over HW and papers
The worst teacher I have ever had. I loved history until I took her course.
Not a bad teacher, perfectly nice, and very knowledgable, but it seems like she doesn't want to be there and thinks she has nothing to learn from her students. She certainly pays them little attention
She's unclear about her expectations/assignments, clearly does not like history 20, gives really hard tests/quizzes and is passively mean. But she absically writes papers for you at conference.
I personally believe that Dr. Dalton refuses to be wrong some of the time. On the other hand, if you work hard, the grade is salvageable.
she's a hard grader but she's really nice and she actually teaches the topics.
Kathy is a tough teacher teaching women's history. If you think the class should be easy, go back to Central High.
she's very sweet, but puts too much emphasis on topics that SHE cares about, and forces her political view which is radically liberal. Her mult. choice are brutal and unpredictable
Dr. Dalton is tough and she won't let you do well on her tests, if you do well on the multiple choice, then she'll screw you in the essay and vice versa.
she's a really nice teacher, but i agree, very hard grader, she won't truly read your essay unless it's like amazing...but go for tons of extra help, it pays off in the end
some don't like, but a great teacher that makes history interesting, im learning a ton. assignments not clear, HARD grader, but fun class. wish we took notes.
I smoked her class because i'm very smart, but it took some putting up with some of her unsolicited political views. She'll be great for you if she likes you.
great great teacher. definately my favorite teacher so far here. always had interesting things to make class fun, and really knows her history.
Dr. Dalton is the hardest grader I've ever had. She is nice in class, but good god, if she doesn't like your writing then you're in trouble for essays.
My sentiments equal that of many of the students. Not a huge fan! Did not find her very helpfull though she is understanding when it comes to homework beingdone
I tell her something one moment and she doesn't remember the next moment. Show good first impression! If you don't,It'll hunt you when she is giving you a grade
Dr. Dalton is such a sweet person and certainly knowledgable. She was a bit tentative in class, but great one-on-one.
She's not everyone's cup of tea, but she's willing to work with students to make sure they understand the material and comes up with projects like in class debates to help students get engaged in the class
I adore Dr. Dalton. She is definetely not everyone's type, but if you get to know her, you will find she's an amazing person. She genuinely cares about her students, a trait that is all to rare among the Andover faculty.
I took Kathleen Dalton in the fall of 1981. She and Tom Lyons were my favorite techers at PA. Engaging, thoughtful, brilliant, helpful, inspiring.
I had the worst experience of my entire PA career with this teacher. In class, she didn't teach; we just watched multiple videos. I don't feel the need to further articulate my attitude.
She's nice and all. A lot of fun in class and very understanding if you are behind on homework. But on essays, watch out. I feel like she takes her anger out on the essays. It will say, Great Job! 74.
