I love Ms. Geary because she is goofy and gets that a lot of high school is really a waste of everyone's time. She is fun to talk to, and her class is generally a free-for-all, and there is no way to fail it. She is very intellegent, though. Ask her a question and she will help you, but there is not really any real work she gives out. She is busy with other things the school relies on her to do, like making sure everyone has the proper ACT benchmarks. She is great! Personal favorite.
It would be great if she only taught one way to solve the problem...who needs to know three or more ways. Just tell me which way to use and I can find the answer. She says she's teaching us problems-solving skills... though this was suppose to be a math class. The only good part is that she is willing to reteach the material--and she can help in other subjects.
I LOVE HER SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!! She is such an amazing teacher! I've never had a sweeter teacher all my life. Her class is basically a test. She gives you a paper, and she doesn't MAKE you do it. She lets you decide if learning is worth your time. She gives you the paper, you can talk all you want and do the paper at leisure. On tests you can get extra points for finding mistakes. Also, if your grade is high enough, she won't make you take her final. She is perfect!!!!
<3 <3 <3 <3 FAVORITE TEACHER. Just make sure you show that you love and respect her!
BEST TEACHER EVER! She is one of the most wonderful people and teachers i have ever met! i have learned so much from her and she is always willing to answer my questions or talk about problems! SHe is the most caring individual i have ever met! :)
This wasn't my easiest class--but it wasn't hard either. I did okay. Geary would stay after school to help. She believes in giving second chances. I appreciate it though didn't deserve it.
EASY. Is all I can say. She gives you a paper and you do it the whole block. If you actually attempt the work and turn it in/ask questions/etc. She will like you. Which means a good grade.
Her class is so easy, but I don't think she's the best when it comes to teaching. Thank god I already knew Algebra when i got to her class or i would have failed!!
Ms Geary seems like she really wants her students to learn, but she doesn't know how to control her class sometimes, making it hard for other students to learn. Also, a TON of my papers were lost.
She approaches teaching a lot differently than most of my other math teachers. She wants everyone to love math as much as she does--well I don't love math--but I don't hate or dread the class this year. Go G!
Others told me this class was going to be an easy A--not so. --I had to do the work! and pay attention. She does explain. But shows more than one way to solve a problem--who cares? Just show me how to get the answer. The technology is okay.
Ms Geary has been very helpful addressing the needs of our child. She has re-worked material to ensure understanding. Seems to enjoy working with the students. Stays after school when requested.
Ms Geary stayed after school several days to help me with ACT/SAT test practice. She explained how to approach problems--no matter how many different ways she had to explain material. my test scores went from 17 to 26!
ms. geary is the nicest teacher ive ever had. she always says that if you need help you can ask her anytime.
ms geary teaches like this is a college--if you don't keep up with the homework schedule your grade will reflect it. like the nike commercial--just do it! and you learn more than you thought you were learning. no remediation for me at college!
ms. geary is such a sweet woman. she's a little too nice sometimes, causing her to be disrespected. if you don't understand something, she's more than willing to help you one on one. if you ever need to talk to someone, ms. geary is the one.
she's an ok teacher. but when it comes down to graduation tests the lack of learning in her class will come back and bite you.
Not only will she help with math...she tutors me spanish and chemistry.--after school--not paid like others to stay.
Very Very sweet! The only problem is you learn absolutely nothing in this class and can slide by easily.
Makes it worth sticking around for four years. Always helped with my classes, actually had her for the first time as a senior. Better late than never.
