she was such a good teacher and advisor i loved being in her class and being in her advisory every morning!
I used to think that Ms. Sears didn't know what she was talking about. I then took life skills from Ms. Nelson and realized that it must be an incredibly hard class to teach. to Ms. Nelson you a saint
She was my advisor. Half the time she would leave during advisory and not come back. In life skills all we learned was how to meditate, which we did for about half the class every day.
In retropsect (I had her in the '80s) she was too forceful about her political views. I respect her politics, but not forcing them on 6th-graders.
We spent the entire year learning about a "Land Bridge" that was later proved to never have existed, making the entire 6th grade social studies class worthless.
