Mr. Keays shows immense passion for not only math, but teaching students as well. However, he has a lot of flaws that prevent him from reaching his full potential. He was absent on the day of the exam, so good luck if you have any last minute questions. His exams are all open-note, which I think fails to prepare students for the next math class. Once students were adjusted to the open-note exam format, he without warning decided to have an exam be closed note. Great potential, needs work.
I love his style of teaching. He gives you the tools to success and you can either take it or leave it. Very funny by the way.
Super energetic. He cares tremendously about students both is terms of knowledge and just in general. Some.peopel are intimidated at first by his persona. But if you embrace it you will have a fun and successfully year.
Do the homework its a lifesaver
I have always been good at math, but when Mr. Keays is teaching math is like a different language. He spends the entire class period teaching without a break and does not actually explain anything. If you ask him a question he will attempt to explain it to you, but it won't make any sense. He gives a lot of extra credit and stuff for homework, but there's too much assigned so basically nobody actually does it.
Mr Keays must have written the last review to beef up his rating. I have been blessed with having him 2 times and both years have been awful. The first year we got emails all the time from him that my parents finally had to block him. ( possibly his ego?) im thinking this year the kids who's parents that donated to his campaign are the ones who benefited. I wish the the principal had a secret camera in the room to watch what really goes on in the classroom, because he's on his best behavior.
MAKE SURE YOU DO THE PRACTICE TESTS AND WRITE THE FLASHCARDS. If you work hard, you should be able to earn an A. I had Mr. Keays for Honors Geometry. He's really great at explaining and makes class really fun and interesting. However, his tests do prove to be quite difficult.
Mr. Keays is awsome. He is very structured and expects you to be organized, however. Just show him respect and be organized and he will show you the same respect.
Mr. Keays is a great teacher and makes class pretty fun as long as you ask questions. You can't be uptight in his class though and he has a lot of energy so be ready the first day of school.
I LOVE HIM, He is so nice, helps me with everything, and gives us a good set up for what is yet to come.
Wirst teacher i have ever had!!!!!! Did not teach us...he only wrote on his computer with his new mouse and didn't explain anything!!!!!!!!!
I'm getting an A in geometry. I can not recommend him. He should teach special education.
Great math teacher loved him in Alg 2. one of my favorite teachers at Agoura!
